Octothorpe returns? Sweet. And with brilliant words, nonetheless.Spud wrote:at least this far, if not further.Lord of Oats wrote:'how far can we stretch the title'

I don't doubt that this will be a good fight. I just wonder if I'll be too busy crying to come up with a decent song.

Well thanks Mr. Spoiler. Do you steal people’s thunder for a living or what? This title actually did have me contemplating ways to incorporate my name somehow. Oh well, no biggie. I keep hearing some horrible rap thing anyway. But please allow me to reciprocate. Perhaps you could write a song about the population explosion in your No Horse Town and how with 501 of them the streets are paved with crap.No Horse Town wrote:there's always Hawaii Five-O, and how they won. Or something.

I'm sorry, sir. I was blissfully unaware of your thunder when I came a-stealin'. You're not actually pissed, are you? You should totally do the "Five-O Won" thing. Especially if you think you can win.Dan-O from Five-O wrote:Well thanks Mr. Spoiler. Do you steal people’s thunder for a living or what? And yeah, it's pretty stinky here in shittytown.
Lotsa love.

Absolutely not pissed. I was just having some at your expense. I do that a lot so don't be surprised by next month's credit card bill.No Horse Town wrote:I'm sorry, sir. I was blissfully unaware of your thunder when I came a-stealin'. You're not actually pissed, are you?
Yeah I should, and might still if I can get this crappy rap song out of my head. (Not that rap is crappy, but me doing it most certainly would be) I'll do a song if and when the inspiration hits, not because I think I can win.No Horse Town wrote:You should totally do the "Five-O Won" thing. I hope you didn't think I was making fun of where you live, I didn't even glance at the Albuquerque, NM location until you mentioned it. I was more focused on your nick. Now it's even funnier. No Horse Town wrote:And yeah, it's pretty stinky here in shittytown.

Not that living in Albuquerque is funny. I think I'll stop myself now.

So, I was just wondering if this was, in any way, related to "502" by Megadeth. ?

Just stopping in to say that if you* don't like the title, don't write a song.
I know Songfight is still new and exciting for you, but it's really not necessary to enter every single one (I think I have the second longest consecutive entry streak in SF history, and they are mostly BAD SONGS because of it).
You'll eventually chill out, read the boards, and every couple of months see a title that really interests you.
For me, this is one of those titles. In.

It's a great title, my sister used to live in the 501, Zipline had a session for this title, what we came up with really sucked. I hope Martyr has the self control not to submit something under Zipline. If he does, please give him a lot of grief, it's against my better judgment to submit from that session. I guess we suck without Ken.
Phillipso, Older Brothers, Semolina Pilchards, Zipline , Thank Glennny for the Frisbee, The Odoriferous Valley, The Worldly Self Assurance, Berkeley Social Scene, Very Gentle Knives, Daddy Bop Swing Set, GUNS, The Kraken Lives, Cavedwellers
