Complain about your schedule. Apparently people like that sort of thing.

Damn, it's all gloomy out and I can't get motivated today.
Trying to get billing out that should have gone out on Monday.
Ate some left over ribs from Outback Steak house last night. I love that place.

Question of the Trip:
Have you ever had a sweet potato that is baked like a baked potato?
Did you, or do you like it?
Damn, it's my new favorite thing.

Well, only if you calculated it properly. That would make me 51.

Was that a necessary post?

(Are we still supposed to point this out, or have you decided the wagon just isn't for you to ride on?)

Yes, thank you for pointing that out. 8)
I did edit and add to it before you posted this, because I felt that I was regressing to my old ways. But you type faster than I do.

Actually, I thought he was originally being quite succinct. Post quality is just as important as post quantity. Now he has gone an fluffed it up with nonsense.

For some reason I thought you were my age, so I went with your answer because I was eating very saucy ribs and I only licked one finger to type.
edit: I used my elbow on the shift key, for all of you extremist.

So I guess I'm nearing the end of the first half of my century.

Did you just say "succinct"?
...and I'm going to take the line "fluffed it up" as a pun whether it was meant to be or not.

News: Car is in for a wheel alignment today. There goes another $100 or so. I am hoping they align it to Lawful Neutral.

Weather: Not so bad. A pleasant day, about 26 degrees, not too sunny (not that it matters, I will probably stay inside).

QOTD: My physical age is 26, but I think my mental age is pushing 13 - 14. Sometimes lapsing to 6.

There's a place down here called Cody's Steak House and they have baked sweet potatoes. (and endless salad they toss right there at the table...) They are delicious with the cinnamon honey butter they are served with.

When I used to create brunch specials back at Atkins Park (ATL) I would soak and boil (then dry) sweet potato fries. Flash them for a about a minute (or less) in a 350 degree fryer and then sprinkle them with a cinnamon & sugar blend directly afterwards, delicious. I didn't invent this or anything but I would serve them along with jerk chicken omelets drizzled with honey and a small spill of raspberry coulis at the end.

For some reason I never got the taste for sweet potatoes. I don't know why. I mean, they taste and smell pretty good and they have an okay texture, but for some reason I hate them and generally won't eat them.

I guess it's one of my weird quirks that I haven't really thought about before.

I am 33 years, 7 months, and 22 days old.

News Shit is hitting the proverbial fan at work. We're launching a new Enterprise system (PeopleSoft) on January 28th and retiring several legacy systems on January 18th. During the interim 10 day (4 actaul business days) conversion period, we're supposed to figure out how to do our jobs without any of our information or ability to enter any data anywhere... Plus the training materials for my department aren't done and they should be. I'm coordinating all of the training assignments for the entire office, but, well, the training department has f'd up. This whole ERP thing has been 2 1/2 years in the making, but now it's crunch time and things suck. I'm a trainer and a Super User and the stress is building. My shoulders are all tense, from shoveling snow and from the stress.

Weather It's a balmy 21 degrees F (-6 C) tonight and it really doesn't feel that cold... but by Saturday we'll have a high of 9 F (-13 C) with more snow.

QotD - baked sweet potatoes (or yams) with sour cream and black beans is very very good. I hate sweet potatoes done in traditional Thanksgiving way, but I love them baked with black beans and sour cream!

I am in denial that I am getting a cold.

I am 40 and will be for about 6 more weeks.
