Konichiwa Songfighters!
Gosh, I've been so tired lately. I've just been fighting for some energy. But I keep on trucking on. One thing I wanna do today is get some more headway on listening to the entire archive for 2007. But the fact that ai have the album "Lemmings" by Jinn in my possession may hinder that.
Question of the Day: What instrument would you love to learn how to play?

The fog is thick here in NYC. It's dreary. I feel fine!
QotD: I have always had cello and (tenor/alto) sax on my short list of desired instrumental skills. Along with a fascination with bassoon and contra-base clarinet (thanks to Stravinsky). I will be accompanying my 6 year old into the world of Suzuki violin this winter, so maybe cello isn't far away

Thinking about Fluffy's dream. How would we know if someone ever died here. I know some of you guys stay in touch outside of SF, so friends would get the word out. If I ever stopped posting here, Would someone look in the OC obituaries? Would anyone care? I have so many things I want to do before I die. Surf naked in Australia, get a bj and eat a sangwich in a hot air balloon (in that order), snowboard K2 from a helicopter drop, win the lottery.

News: It must be something you caught from the board, Niv. I've been pretty tired the last few days too.
Entertainment: Assassins Creed has been really good. There is plenty of stuff to keep an Assassin occupied, and sneaking up on unsuspecting guards is pretty fun. The aim of the game is to avoid combat as much as possible, and when faced with multiple opponents, to run and hide. I have found its easier to run to the top of a ladder, and hit the guards as the climb to the top. I think that is technically cheating, but it works.
QOTD: I'd like to learn to play the bass. At the moment it is all just intiutive playing. The guitar would be handy, too. I should probably say something more exotic as well. The flute, so I can belt out some folkish rock, Jethro Tull style.

wow it was a busy day at work today.
qotd: First note, (no pun intended) I totally didn't make any jokes about songfighters with interest in the flute. Now, I've always wanted to be able to play the keys. I mean, I know where all the notes are and I can make chords, but I always wanted to really be able to play it play it. I can use keys in a song... but I can't necessarily PLAY the keys. It'd be nice to sit down in front of a piano and be able to play Hungry Like the Wolf lounge style with my tie untied and beautiful ladies sprinkled everywhere on my white plush carpet.

Watched a lot of cartoons. Didn't get any work done. Did work out my New Years' plans, though. The rain stopped, but it's getting cold again.
Funny, I used to be a huge blogger. I had a Deadjournal which I posted to twice or thrice a day with all my boring life details. This DRC thing is basically that, but now I realize that my life bores even me, so why would people on this board want to read about it? Still, it's here, so presumably we're all at least a little interested in each other's lives, or are at least willing to skim over these posts to get to the question of the day...
Speaking of which:
QotD: Any bowed string instrument. Either the violin or the 'cello. Of course, there's also a bunch of instruments that I can play but would like to be able to play better, like the mandolin or the accordion.

I don't really play anything well. But I think guitar would be an excellent thing to be able to play, rather than pick at it like I do now. I would also like to learn how to play trumpet again, but I had to give my loaner back after the SFL show.

man laundry sucks balls but having to do it at the laundromat sucks bigger balls. the laundromats here (near downtown where i live) are either filled with sketchy homeless tweekers living near the river or women who bring their 8 kids and take up every friggin machine.
so instead of facing that choice, i decided to go to trader joes and bought this awesome orange cranberry bread mix that is baking in my oven right now.
qotd: piano. i remember hearing this and wishing i could play piano.
