So, MacWorld is gearing up, like two blocks from my apartment. Even though I've sworn off trade shows forever I'm going anyway. (I scored free passes.) I'm looking forward to whatever subnotebook Apple announces on Tuesday. If it's compelling enough I'll probably buy one even though I have no real need for it.
Also, I'm working on another animation, specifically a music video for my song "Bad Cat." That has been consuming me all weekend. Goodness.
qotd: Why didn't you start today's DRC thread?

QotD: 'cause I couldn't think of a good question to ask...
DRC: excitement of the day was that the folks who pick my mom up to come to church got to her house and she wouldn't wake up. Neither would her dog. First thought of a gas leak or something was contraindicated by the fact that they don't have gas in the houses in her neighborhood. Anyway, umm, all was well, I think she just didn't get enough sleep last night - actually, she told me later that she remembered having a dream that Jim had come by to pick her up and she said she was too tired, that she was going to stay home... hmm... I've probably mentioned this before, but she's at the stage where she's living by herself, but has somebody (either me or a caretaker) come in for a couple hours a day to take care of preparing food, etc. She has good days and not so good days, this was one of the not so good ones...
Other than that... got back to church in time to play bass for part of the service, fixed lunch at my mom's, took her dog for a walk, did grocery shopping in the afternoon, and the rest of the day will be taping some "Monk Episodes" and checking out The Sarah Connor Chronicles on TV tonight.
Oh yeah, Walgreen's is having a twofer sale on reading glasses, so I went by and got four more pairs. I'm one of those people who keeps about 8 pairs of reading glasses around the house in hopes of always being able to find one pair. I'm also one of those people who loses glasses too frequently to invest in a pair of prescription ones or bifocals or anything (and I have very good peripheral vision, and was told that bifocals in particular would lose a lot of that, and I suspect that good peripheral vision has kept me out of at least as many accidents as being able to read the license plate of the guy who's about to run into me).

QOTD: Because I suck at it and all of you brainiacs intimidate me.
Finally took down my outside Christmas decorations today
I'm happy that I wasn't the last guy on the block to take'um down
Three neighbors still lagging, yes, I'm the winner of the losers.
Started on my Purple Reign #3 today
Trying to come up with something mind blowingly cool,
but only coming up with stuff that's mind numbingly crap
I need some inspiration, a BJ and a sandwich.
Unfortunately I am lacking divine influence, it's not my Birthday, and we're out of bread.

QotD: Because I was flying back from Cancun, dude!

and Tulum
It's freezing-raining out now, supposed to turn to snow and be yucky tomorrow. Or really white. I bet it'll be yucky.
