Earn royalties on Last.fm

This sounds like a good opportunity for us.

"now unsigned artists can put their music on Last.fm and be paid directly for every song played. This helps to level the playing-field—now you can make music, upload it to Last.fm and earn money for each play. If you make music, you can sign up to participate for free.

We’re not printing money to pay for this—but the business model is simple enough: we are paying artists and labels a share of advertising revenue from the website. "

Hmmm, and I've finally come to grips with the fact that I will die unknown in an unmarked grave, penniless.

Just make sure I have a map to it so I can still find my way to piss on it.

Just look for a spot on Earth where a marijuana plant magically grows each spring.

Ok, I may have stolen that idea from Where the Red Fern Grows.

I hate the music uploader. Also I hate how there's no way to upload a song as a single. So now the four Sockpuppet trakcs I've uploaded are on an album called "stuff" and I can't see any way to change that.

Also some jerk who isn't Jeff seems to have taken the name "add music."

Maybe this was discussed further in a different thread but I couldn't find any. I was listening to Thanks For The Frisbee in my iTunes and looking at my last.fm player which informs me that similar artists are Melvin, State Shirt, those meddling kids, Ross Durand, and Frankie Big Face.

Did you guys set yourselves up as "similar artists", or did Last.fm actually pick that up through usage? Also, I posted a few songs there myself under my real name (I've submitted under two many names to pick just one).

Last.fm picks it up through usage. Generally, anyone who's shown up on Song Fight gets associated with other people who show up on Song Fight.

Well, a band called Sockpuppet with an album called "stuff", is a pretty good name for multiple reasons, lol. I can picture the album cover art. If I wasn't so lazy right now, I'd be making and album cover for this.

I need to come up with something for my cover art. The name of my "album" is "If You're Gone Then You're Not Here".

Dude, that idea is fantastic. I didn't use it exactly, but expanded on that idea. You rock.

yeah, that one is pretty plain. But the "you are here" type map thing came to mind. But the little arrow should say, "you aren't here", lol. Just a knee jerk image.

Here's what I came up with:

Edit: I wonder if something like "An EP by" would be better than "Last Updated by"?

That's actually what I did first, then whited out the text in the speech bubble and added the title.
But it looks better your way I think. If all the text is your album info type stuff.
