No, I think January turned out well enough the first time.drë wrote:QOTD: if you could do it all over again, would you?

qotd: Thats a multi part question do0d. For the most part "yes" but I'm not chock full of regrets either.
Pro Tools the awesome CPU / Memory Hog. I would use it if it didn't slow me down so much. (and didn't have such a learning curve from my current choice)
Last day of January and I'm broke and rent is going to be late... BUT my tax return will totally bring me back to even in less than two weeks.

Roll Call: Got a call from a friend who has taken a job at a bar that wants to book me every Saturday night. Like, indefinitely. I told her I'd already booked quite a few Saturdays in 2008, and she said "well, can we have the rest of 'em?" So yay! I'm going up there tomorrow to check it out.

QOTD: Sure, why not. Can I make a few minor alterations along the way?

Miner alterations? Like more hats with flashlights and canaries for your coal mine?Billy's Little Trip wrote:QOTD: Sure, why not. Can I make a few miner alterations along the way?

I have a love/hate relationship with recent events. I had a birthday. I wrote almost no songs. I just started working out again. I met a girl online somewhat recently. It's weird and very uncertain, but I'm cautiously enthusiastically optimistic. I like to flirt with disaster. I wouldn't change anything, but then again, I never would.

I agree. Unremarkable month...and I too am just gettin' older. I did lose a couple of pounds this month though and it wasn't even a New Years resolution or anything.Paco Del Stinko wrote:Here I am. Good job with the loss of poundage, Hoblit. I know that I've lost several as well but haven't stepped on the scale to see how many. On January 1st, I shaved my head and face and after a month I now look like a scuzzy monkey. I'm pretty sure that by March 1st, people will be crossing the street to avoid me.
Bringin' the stink since 2006.

I shaved face completely and cut hair to a fraction of an inch just last night. Then I started work on FAWM. WEEEEEEEE. I've started a new workout plan as of Wednesday. We'll see how this other thing goes. Thanks for the words of caution, I guess? I may or may not post more details about that and why I am and am not concerned. In any case, this is going to be a wonderful month of accomplishment. FUCK JANUARY, BITCHES. LET'S RING IN THE NEW SHIT WITH A BANG. KABLAM!

This happened at an old apartment building I used to live in out there in the ATL. The basement flooded with a couple of inches of water. Which wouldn't have been a problem for tenants except that both boilers, the one for the hot water and the one that sends hot water through the steam registers, were both gas and the pilot lights got snuffed out.jb wrote:My sump pump failed last night, and there is 1.5 inches of water in my basement.
