If you can and it's not too cloudy, you should step outside for a bit around 7:30.

Shoot, good question. I first heard it was 7 ET but turns out that was PT. So, totality begins at 10:01 ET. Not as convenient as previously thought.

OMG! It was actually CLEAR here in Portland, so we got a very nice view!

C-monk and I ALSO saw a shooting star in the other direction. An all around excellent evening for heavenly bodies!
