I am a big, big star. You guys just never heard of me.
Actually, I never really had a desire to be a big, big star in this field (music), thank God. I am more interested in being a big big star in my real profession, and I would say that I am doing OK on that front. Slowly but surely. Well, perhaps more slowly than surely.
My wife is in India at the moment. She called me today and told me she got on the front page of the local newspaper. Apparently she was at the Desert Festival in Jaisalmer when she was press-ganged into a women's tug-of-war team representing the Rest of the World against India. The Rest of the World won and they got a front page picture.
Front page in a country of a billion people....that's a big star!

"a turban tying competition and a Mr. Desert Contest are a part of the fun and frolic."
