I'm looking for a mixer that I can hook up to a mixing program and record/monitor in real-time. This will only be for recording purposes. I have a proper mixer for live use.
I want something that will send each input as an individual track into my mixing program so that I can record my band live (with ease). I'm looking for something that can send at least 4 individual tracks to my laptop. I'd be running keys, bass, and guitar into individual inputs then drums into our live mixer and then into this.
I'm not crazy over this Alesis Multimix 8 USB 2.0 but it seems to be what I'm looking for. I like the fact that it has 1/4" and xlr inputs...
Any suggestions?
Thanks

You know, Lunkhead just got one from MF for $149. It seems like a pretty good little unit if you're looking for hardware mixing.
