here's my lyrics:
He's gonna change the ethics of Albany.
He's gonna clean up the state.
He's gonna give my illegal ass a ride uptown
to marry my gay mate.
Lady NY:
He wins her
and he tames her
and he shames her
"I'm a fucking steamroller,
and I'll roll over you"
I'm resigned to mull it all over.
I will yet get the best of you.
Picture him with all his wealth and power,
stuck behind eight other men in line,
laying down a thousand bucks an hour.
I hope he had the time of his life, giving her the time.
Lady NY:
he takes her
and he licks her
and he chews her
and he Spitzer!
"I'm a fucking steamroller,
and I'll roll over you"
I'm resigned to mull it all over.
I will yet get the best of you.

Re: Client No. 9
I know what I ought to do, but I don't.
I know what I want to do, but I don't.
First you're campaigning against immorality,
Then you're paying for women regularly.
Produce a person with the best to learn how whatever goes in,
You can't predict what will come out.
Waves align just right inside of you
To create success in everything you do.
But then certain chemicals get together
And you decide to do something and ruin your life.
It's a magical time in the morning before the news gets around.
Make preparations. Look out the window. Walk around the house.
You will tell them when they ask you, "What do you have to say now?"
"All I know is I got from there to here, but I don't know how."
I know what I want to do, but I don't.

Staring at the coffee stains
Rain pounds the grimy windowpane
Only had eight jobs since I set up shop
I guess that's par for a washed-up cop
Then this dame walks in the door
And says "you're just the man I'm looking for"
"And I hope I got it right"
"'cause someone could get killed tonight"
With my knack for talking big
I say "what makes you think I'll take this gig?"
She drops an envelope full of dough
And says "hurry up, come on, let's go"
The car careens on rain-slick streets
And races down the city blocks
And since this used to be my beat
I see we're headed for the docks
But something doesn't quite seem straight
At the warehouse door I fear the worst
So I pull out my .38
And say "You go in first"
(gunshots)
Two bodies face down on the floor
The man a recent parolee
My client's boyfriend sought revenge
And the intended victim was me

Took a number to stand in line
To take a risk and realize
What went on in your alibi
Since you've been gone
I've felt so lost
Tripping on wires we've crossed
I never meant to clip your wings
Cuz you were the songbird that likes to sing
About the clouds and the stars up above
Everything in it that falls
Making our dreams find the right side of the melody
Another one down
It's my turn to drive
Just like we hoped it would be like
When the time is just right
And the stars have all aligned
To shed some kind of light
Anyway, we can wait all day
Nothing looks like it did back then
Since you've been gone
I've felt so lost
Tripping on wires we've crossed
Making our dreams find the right side of the melody
Another one down
It's my turn to drive
Just like we hoped it would be like
When the time is just right
And the stars have all aligned
To shed some kind of light
We'd lose ourselves in it's burning
Returning feeling we had inside
We'd meet in the middle
When all that remains
Is how we can make it better
I'm still standing here
At least, I'm next in line
Took a number to stand in line
