I'm sure they will be used in the next big hit.
The video of them in action is a crack up. I like this picture, like the standard "rock star in a tree" pose.

Hmmm. I really like it. The faces look a bit cheap, but I think it could be good fun. Maybe I'll pick one up this summer.

I've had one for like a year now. I don't think I've used it on any Songfight songs, but it is on the Parker Street Cinema record in a couple of places. very fun musical toy. I can't wait to see what they make next.

Yeah, I have one too. Mine's lemon-lime. He's supposed to be unveiling a "Thingamagoop kit" this weekend at Maker Faire which I thought might mean that if you can solder, you can get one for less than $100. I love that they kind of interact with each other and would like to have another - even though I've never used it on a recording yet. But they're just so *cute*...

I'm going to Maker Faire today, and have been looking forward to playing with one of these. I have a feeling their booth is going to be very crowded though.

These now exist. $65 + shipping. Not as cute as the original but more switches and knobbage. Running on a 2-week delay right now.

Got the kit. Built the kit. Did it up in camo so you may not be able to see it in the picture. So, to repeat, you can get the one on the left, built, for $100 and get the one on the right, in pieces, for $65. I've had good experience with the vendor.
