I'll try really really hard to be in this week. I've been lazy as hell lately.

There's a sax player for one of the bands up at the jazz club where I work named Shelley Caroll. He's also got his own big band, called the Shelley Caroll Band.

Perhaps I could convince him to come lay down some sweet sax0rz.

All - as some of you know I produce a <a href="http://roymond.com/icn/">podcast </a> that covers Songfight each week (<a href="http://s87821076.onlinehome.us/icn/arch ... ml">what's a podcast?</a> you ask). I feature my favorite 4 or 5 entries from both titles, and I invite listeners to listen and vote on the site. I would also like to have a show that explores the songwriting and production process. As such, I am documenting my song from start to finish, and I invite anyone to do the same. Honestly, I really only want to feature pretty polished songs, but I think it's cool to hear songwriters explain where they came from when they wrote and recorded their songs, and figure others would find it facinating, too..

For the whole description, go <a href="http://s87821076.onlinehome.us/icn/arch ... l">here</a>

Erm... three side projects and four final exams this week. I'm amending that 'maybe' to a 'maybe not'.

I loved that Paul Simon Album & Single.

Already looking forward to this fight. Songs with People's Names in them (Adam & Steve notwithstanding) tend to bring out the best in Songfighters.

I love <a href="http://www.scarygoround.com/">Scary Go Round</a>. I have to try to make an entry for "Cheer up Shelley"

Even if <a href="http://www.eonline.com/News/Items/0,1,1 ... l">Shelley Long</a> is implied in the title.

ROCK!

Awesome. I can't listen right now, but are those intermediate file links still active? Perhaps we can record a dramatic re-creation of the dialog :)

i think all the links are still working. i just wanted to mention that this is how both of the bloody hams songs have been worked up. the power of the blog. it's worked wonders for helping 5 guys who all live geographically far apart sound like a real band. it's a great tool for collaborations.

Thanks to J$, 'Cheer Up Shelley' has been written. Feel free to fear The Grip's take on a Christmas single...

Cheer up Shelley will be a 100% solo Henrietta entry this week.... ie. recording & production done completely on my own. I normally don't record anything without a lot of help from Mr. H so I'm really excited about my little 'experiment'. :D

if there is not a new sissyfist track for "wrath of god", i will be thoroughly disappointed. and nobody wants that.

made some lyrical shininess for Cheer Up but dont think it will be submitted bacause:
a)dont have any access to a backing unless i out and out steal...which i shant do cuz i may steal things but i aint no thief..err
2)most you dont have a sense of humor it seems so a song that includes date-rape drugs, gay/straight insults and post-mortem copulation might not go over well.
c)none of you care anyways.

.....dreaming.....Pigpen tied up and comotose, ass fucked by an asian hell's angel using a britsol scewdriver while various worthy beats ominously play in the background.....

...hummph. My sense of humour is just fine bitch.

you see, to me care means "emotional focus", and I think people use that word when they just actually mean "focus". Either way, you're right... see? Sense of humour still intact!

(sigh..) what's funny is that you think any of those things are humourous to begin with....

now leaf's imagery....that's funny!
