Sunday funday!
I've got 7 days to finish all of my remodel projects
My shin dig is in 7 days :?
I'm almost done, it's the details that are killing me
I'll make it, I always do
I work my best under pressure

Questions Of The Day:
1. At a BBQ, what's your favorite, beef, chicken or fish? How do you like it prepared? IE: shish kebab, boneless skinless chicken, fish tacos, good ole chicken legs, breast and thighs, steak, ribs, etc.
2. What are your favorite hors d'oeuvres and nibbles when you go to a party?
3. What beverages do you like when at a big BBQ bash? Alcohol and non alcohol.
4. Any personal requests. Vegetarian, etc.

It sounds like you're inviting us over. You forgot to post the directions to your house.

QOTD: Dunno. Just got my first real barbeque yesterday. Will let you know how it goes. I will be watching for answers and treating them as suggestions.

I've got two gas and a Weber. My big gas grill is my work horse, the other is smaller and I use it to take to the river when we go boating, etc. My Weber is for special occasions when I want to charcoal grill.

Although it has SS doors that side over the cook top, the only thing that's stopping me, *holds up fingers as wide as I can spread'um * it doesn't have a lid that I can close for slow cooking.

1. I am an omnivore and basically everything is awesome on the grill. Even tofu can be good grilled. I think my favorite thing to grill would be marinated chicken, and a close second being steak. Aum nom.

2. Tasty things.

3. Hefeweisen, porter, lager. Also, Jones Soda.

4. How do I get there, again?

When I was at the party rental place reserving some chairs and tables, I notice that they rent frozen cocktail machines. These things look awesome! I'm going to rent the double machine. After the first batch is made, there is a light that tells you when to add more mix and booze to the reservoir. So basically, once this thing gets going, it will keep making more with no down time. So I'm going to do margaritas and strawberry daiquiris. Here is the machine I'm going to rent. I might get the 3 batch unit and have pina coladas or Mo Mosas. :P

Hope you're also going to buy yourself a nice new skirt and some pretty make-up before you start cooking on that one, because cooking on one of those things will make you about this close *holds up finger about an inch apart* from being a complete big girl's blouse.

Went with the chicken, then shredded it and made burritos. Mmmm. Good. Not bad for first outing.

Don't be afraid of grilling veggies. I'll slice up red, yellow and green bell peppers, red onion, zucchini, cabbage and whatever I'm feeling for the day, toss it around with EVOO, a little balsamic, salt, pepper, fresh garlic, etc. Then I toss it on my holey Teflon grill sheet thingy, grill and toss it around for a bit until it's tender/crisp, then...BAM! It's perfect.

Today I also cooked on the grill (Vermont Castings, it's lovely) beef-burgers, toasted the buns, and some spargel (asparagus) with olive oil and italian seasonings. Awesome lunch (at 330 pm).

Came home from Vegas today - I saw "Love" last night. more on that sometime in the monkey business category.

QOTD:
1. Cheeseburger - well.
2. Lipton onion soup dip with crinkled chips
3. Beer
4. Don't play crappy music on the outdoor speakers.

When's the party, Chris?

Of course it's spelled with a capital C - why do you mention that?

If someone said "Are you coming to my barbecue?" I would expect there to be brisket or sausage. I would probably be okay with hamburgers. If they only had chicken or fish, I'd be unpleased. I like to drink cheap beer or margaritas on the rocks at a barbecue.

I'm up for hot dogs and burgers. Sausage is good. Chicken on the grill I can do without.
A corona with lime would be nice too. Or, you know, whatever you got.
Ooh, let's cook up some linguica. Greasy and delicious!

When I worked at restaurants I'd do something like this. I love marinated and grilled portobello mushrooms as well. I don't order them at restaurants when I go though, they always over charge for that stuff.

QOTD:

1. I'm equal opportunity, its whatever the crowd wants. I guess *I* lean towards marinated chicken but I'm more into variety. Choices. I usually have chicken and pork and veggies and hamburgers and hot dogs all going at once.

2. meatballs & shrimp

3. Beer. But I fill up quickly on beer so never more than two before I have to move to whiskey strait up.

4. Medium Rare.

Ha! It's true, I'm not known for my better judgment. But that thing would be perfect for an Iron Chief cook off type thing. Just wheel it in and cook. It has dual gas hook ups, natural and propane, warming drawers, fridge, lights up in the canopy, side burners and you can get an optional single oven for $250. I'm such a big girls blouse. :P
