What happened to Sunday, May 11, 2008?
I don't know about you but I did the following:
- Called my mom to wish her a happy Mother's day
- Did my laundry
- Watched Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis since they were both episodes I hadn't seen before
- Watched Real Genius and The Elephant Man and ate a bunch of popcorn during the second one because of course the first one inspired me to do such
qotd: What is your preferred way of making popcorn?
I use an air popper. Sometimes whole superheated kernels fall out into the bowl and then they pop a few seconds later, making a whole bunch of popcorn fly all over my kitchen. It is more funny than it is annoying. THen I drizzle it with oil and sprinkle it with either some spices (usually some Asian blend since my mom bought me a bunch of these spice blends a few years ago which I have pretty much no use for since I prefer to just use separate spices when I cook, although sometimes I use them when I want to make something quick) or with Parmesean cheese.

I called my mom as well for Mother's Day. We ran a few errands like picking up a ton of pellets for the wood stove, took a couple of things to the dump. To the dump dump dump.
My preferred method of making popcorn is on the stove. Little bit of oil, kernals, much near violent shaking, toss with a little bit of butter and salt. S'all you need. Bring it on, Fluffy, I haven't forgotten your challenge.

Bringin' the stink since 2006.

Did the Mother's Day thing in the morning. After years of trying, I found a way to get my wife a video game for Mother's Day. Heh.
In the afternoon I worked on the new studio. Still a lot to be done in there before I can put it to use.
QotD: Jiffy Pop FTW.

I actually saw my Mom and my Grandma on Mothers' Day. Which hasn't happened in some years. My cousin got married on Saturday, and I was in the wedding. That was fun.
Popcorn - I know there are mw popcorn problems, but you can't beat the convenience. I love the taste of the light kettle corn. Handpopped is great, too, though.

We had a 4th Birthday Party for Caravan Harriet on the weekend.
Here she is with her new guitar!

...and later trying to drag our poor, obliging little dog Inky into Moreton Bay

Mimosas for breakfast with Kimi on the back porch, called my own Mom, enjoyed Kimi's first bout of iPod madness (her M-Day present) She's still ripping CDs, even as I key this in, heh.
QOTD: Stove top, oil. Just the right amount of brewer's yeast. What that amount actually is, I still haven't figured out yet.

QOTD: My spicy kettle corn is the diggiteez. It's a much requested method. I do the standard stove top kettle corn method. IE: quarter cup of oil with a tablespoon of margarine or butter flavored oil works ok too, a third cup of white sugar, half cup of popping corn, then the magic ingredient is about a tablespoon of chipotle chili paste. Sweet, crispy, smokey and spicy.

DRC: I bought my Mom a huge Mother's Day card about 3 weeks ago and hid it inbetween my mattresses until yesterday. She loved it. I also treated the 'rents to Sonic so that my Mom wouldn't need to cook.
QotD: I may get hammered for saying this but I don't like popcorn.
