Not a whole lot to report, actually, just tryin' to keep the streak alive for one more day.

We got, uhh, flamingo'd today. The youth group at church is doing this fundraiser thing for a mission trip in July where somebody comes around and puts a bunch of plastic pink flamingos in your front yard, and you can pay them $10 to just take them away or $15 to put them in somebody else's yard. Or I guess you can just leave them there and in a week or so they'll come collect them... I dunno, something about this that I'm just a terribly bad sport about this sort of thing. I just wish they'd leave me alone so I didn't have to deal with it.

High point of the day was probably watching the grand prix from Monaco early this morning. Wonderful racing, raining at the start, drying out, more rain forecast that never showed up, people leaving parts of their race cars all around the track (but nobody hurt). And my guy (Lewis Hamilton) won the race.

So, uhh, yeah, just keepin' the streak alive. My mom kinda judges how her day is going by whether she can undo the seatbelt in my car by herself, and she had a 12 in a row streak going until today it decided to be sticky. I know it ain't much, but we try to make a point of celebrating even small victories, 'cause some day, that's all there are.

I looked at more condos today. Of the ones I looked at there were two which I would settle for but none that I actually want to buy. The new realtor I'm working with has a few more ideas of where to look though.

HA! I remember the streaking fad, and that silly song as well. So much of that wacky 70's stuff seems so quaint nowadays.

Weather report: too early in the day to tell, as the coastal wannabe fog hasn't burned off yet, but it's been a perfect weekend otherwise. Dry, sunny, gentle breeze, the leaves are out. Route 95 north was very quiet on Saturday morning, though, and should have been a lot busier with the 'official start of summer' and all. I reckon lots of people are vacationing nearer to home this year.

I played a couple campground gigs this weekend, and both facilities seemed to be enjoying pretty good attendance. So at least that section of the vacation business is still doing all right I guess. But yeah, things do seem a little quieter than expected 'round these parts. And everyone's got a van for sale.
