There is another virus going around at work. On Saturday night I started feeling dizzy and tired and kind of bleh, and Sunday it started turning into something crappy. Today I felt a bit better in the morning but after lunch felt pretty crappy so after I finished up what I was working on I went home a bit early. Then I took a nap. Now I'm awake. And still feeling crappy. So:
qotd: How are you feeling today?

qotd: I called in sick today. I don't have a bug or anything (I don't think) but I had serious insomnia last night. I didn't sleep a single second. I was painfully aware of every single minute I spent trying to fall asleep, and then my alarm went off.I briefly contemplated going in anyway, but I felt like a bag of shit so called in. I think I'm going to sleep like a rock tonight. I resisted the urge to have a nap.

Re: 8/6/9
I'm actually feeling pretty good today, for an old guy. I've mentioned this project I'm working on, recording cover versions of songs by a guy from tuneflow; I finished one and then did an entire other one today, so... making music tends to make me feel good. And I keep counting my blessings that the fingers haven't started gnarling up or the body otherwise falling apart too badly. Got a little bit of a... well, it's not a cold sore but it's kinda the same thing, fortunately I've been able to anaesthetize it into submission sufficiently that it hasn't interfered with doing vocals or anything.
Sleep... yeah, could use more of that. Any time I wake up in the middle of the night it tends to take a long time to get back to sleep, and then there is the dog that gets her walk about 4 a.m., so any time I wake up after 2:30 or so, I figure I'm up for the day...

Re: 8/6/9
hey i started a new job today! crazy!
i got laid off about a month ago and was enjoying the the life of leisure at the beach. till i got poorer. but all turned out well and i'm back to work making a hefty raise over what i was making before!
so given the sorry ass state of affairs these days, i feel pretty blessed.

QotD: Monday I was feeling quite a lot better. I played an outdiir show Saturday afternoon, and I think I ended up with heatstroke. I was sick all day Sunday, with a headache in my temples I couldn't seem to lose. The show went well enough though. Here's the first ever live performance of my song Brownie Points.
