After reading all you guys' replies I'll add to my personal list.

* Brad Sucks
* Jordan Seavers
* Klownhole
* Bjam

I'd also like to add one no one has said yet. P.U.C.E. They did what I thought was the best song on the Welcome to ____ fight. They were robbed by the famous windows song that JoS did.
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

1) Puce isn't/wasn't a They. It's just Adam being the super talent he is.

2) It's (It was) Puce not P.u.c.e.

Though I wonder what P.U.C.E. would stand for.

Okie, I'll give you that it's a him and not a they. But you are dead wrong on the rest. It IS/WAS P.U.C.E.

If you look at the Welcome To ___ thread, you'll see that everyone called him P.U.C.E. and it stood for Piracy Undermines Creative Expression.

Glad to be the voice of reason. Once again.

Yes, you are right. For that one fight, two years after his debut, Puce used a different version of his name. One time.

Actually, he didn't (or at least he's not listed in the archive as such), people just started referring to him as that in the thread for some reason.

If only there was a person who could answer this question once and for all.

Oh well, I guess there's just no way we'll ever know.

You know, I was just thinking-- I should check out Songfight again. I surfed over here tonight, and found this!

Zow. I'm flattered! I still regret missing SF Live 2006 and not getting to do "So Long Atticus" live with you. I've listened to your cover of our "Look Good in Black" more times than I'd care to admit. Your version has become the canonical version of that song to me. (As has Mo' Funker's cover of "Talk About Your Feelings"...) Thanks for the kind words, the awesome cover, and using my voice in your song!

Oh, and "What the hell?" I come looking for a 'fight, and all I find is a fight that finished up on WEDNESDAY and no new title yet? Has Narbotic come back and taken over the site? *snicker*

Anyway-- dunno if I can make a comeback or not. I've wanted to, but I'm clearly still in a musical rut. Worse, I haven't talked to Derrick since the afternoon followng the first The Landfills live show in SF, back in fall 2003, so it's just me, me, and me. Derrick made it "The Landfills". W/o him, one lonely "The Landfill" I be.

I never did get to be an Internet celebrity, either.

I lurk now and again on here. It's nice to see that a lot of the long-timers are still around. Talk about a wonderful community.

Nope, Missourian.
You might check www.jeshimoth.com if you felt so inclined.

As to the discussion at hand, I'd like to second (or third, fourth, whatever) Dylan Nau (Fat Steaming Bag, Gold Standard), and sonofsupercar, and also add Abecedarian and Alacron. As well as a few other people who are still lurking around here someplace but not submitting new songs (at least, not that I've noticed).

I wish, man. Tampa in August-- eww! I was down around there in August '04 to put a roof on my grandfather's house after a hurricane. Talk about *hot*, *sticky* and just... eww! Seriously though, I'm so booked up with work-- it's craziness. I've been tossing around "In the Valley" all week and can't find enough time to record anything, let alone go to Tampa. *smile* (There's still an *outside* chance there'll be a "The Landfills" entry for "In the Valley". We'll see...)

Heh heh... "The Blue Signal" will always be on the set-list of any show I know you're going to be at. Thanks for the kind words. I'm definitely still alive, and missing the Songfight community. I hope my work / life balance gets to the point that I can participate again.

Yeah, Tampa in August IS brutal. That's why the event's name is Hot & Sweaty. However, roof work in August exaggerates the effect. We promise that we will not make you put any roofs on any houses...well, barring any hurricane activity in the month or so.

Bread Box Studios & The Ritz will both be sufficiently air conditioned.
