Re: Song Fight! Band Name Literalisms
Cheap fix for your lazy-ass clipping path:

After clipping, select the white area with the magic wand.
From the menu: Select>Modify>Expand. Enter 3 pixels
From the menu: Filter>Blur>Gaussian. Enter 1.7 pixels
Bingo. Exact numbers may vary according to image size.
Of course, more could be done, but I assume you are really in a hurry, here.

Re: Song Fight! Band Name Literalisms
Good call, done and uploaded. The only downside here was that I had to flatten all layers in order to magic wand the white. Would there be another way to do that without flattening? FYI - My layers were, in descending order, Glen's hand, Neko, the path around Glen that gave me the white background, and the image of glen with prior companion cut out on the bottom layer.Spud wrote: After clipping, select the white area with the magic wand.

Re: Song Fight! Band Name Literalisms
In Photoshop, the Magic Wand tool has an option called 'use all layers' which makes it, well, use all layers. I do that all the time.

I'm using Fireworks.fluffy wrote:In Photoshop, the Magic Wand tool has an option called 'use all layers' which makes it, well, use all layers. I do that all the time.
edit: I guess I can do it one layer at a time though.

For stuff like this, I use Printshop because it's quick and dirty. I use the edge blur tool like Spud used. I just try to cut a little further from the edge than KMS did.
With that said, guess who?

Re: Song Fight! Band Name Literalisms
Oh. So, the only connection to aardwolves was the wolf. Ok.
As for that Adam one, which Adam is it? There are four bands it could be in the songfight archive: Adam Adamant, Adam Dachis, Adam David Roberts, and Adam Edwards. My band name is not 'Adam'; that's MY name.
EDIT: You know, I realize now that I just misunderstood this thread. I thought it was band name literalisms, but it actually "use pictures to describe a user on the sf! boards", which is why you included all the girl/glasses stuff for aardwolves, and the maple-leaf (which was clever). That's fine, it's just not the same game I thought we were playing. I get it now.
No it wasn't hard, just bad.Billy's Little Trip wrote:Did I make [aardwolves] too hard?

This was the original, Adam. But I thought it might give it away.

Re: Song Fight! Band Name Literalisms
This one is cheating a little--may require a little playing around with the words and sounds:

cause they'll help you if you're falling down..."

Re: Song Fight! Band Name Literalisms
I didn't know there was any such thing as aardwolves before. I thought the name was just a combination of aard (from aardvark) and wolves...

What a catastrophe.
