Soulcalibur IV came out today... picked up my copy on lunch break... looking to kick some butt tonight baby! Anyone else pick this game up? If so for what system? I got the Xbox 360 version... Darth Vader is confirmed as DLC My gamertag is OrganicNewt if anyone wants to fight me!

Yea man, the Apprentice is pretty rad... Yoda is kinda cheap tho... can't throw him and he's too small that most attacks go over his head... Being a SW Nerd, it was awsome to fight against Yoda w/ the Apprentice in the hanger of a Star Destroyer overlooking the Deathstar w/ Tie Fighters and other Star Destroyers flying around... hehe
I guess it must be pretty cool to play as Yoda or Darth Vader, but it bothers me that Soul Calibur's interest in its own characters seems to be waning. If they want a fighting game with Star Wars characters, why not make one just for Star Wars characters? It might be pretty fun to see Chewbacca take on Palpatine, or see Obi-Wan fight Vader and actually try, or to decide once and for all whether Han Shot First.
So for those that have SCIV, am I far from the mark? Are all the licensed characters broken spotlight hogs? Or did they actually do right by their old standbys?

I don't play with the SW characters so they don't bother me. I play with Voldo, Seigfried, Hilde, and Sophitia mostly when I'm using default chars. SCIV is all about using custom fighters though. I have 3 atm but I'll have WAY more eventually. And of course editing the default chars is sweet too.
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style.
You know, it might be that the part that annoys me is that they've now included two characters from the same outside franchise. I didn't mind Link and Spawn so much... but it feels like adding Yoda in addition to Vader makes it seem more like a Star Wars tie-in.
But hey, I haven't played it yet, so I'm just complaining for no reason.

what ISN'T a Star Wars tie-in nowadays?
the killing off of luke's wife and han and leia's children ended any lingering feelings i had for star wars.
maybe nine-fingers LeBouf will be cast in the live action tv-show in a few years, once he's hit rock-bottom. his movie career will be pretty much over once that finger hits the trash bin.
