QOTD - I will be attending a jam tomorrow, hopefully some folks will come out of the woodwork and melt some heads. Sunday, house to myself, I'll be recording. And Monday I don't know, but something with my ladyfriend. So yeah, staycation, but still fun. Be safe, everybodys. :)

Staycation here too. This weekend I'll probably finish unpacking as much as I can, and on Monday I'm going to my sister's birthday party barbecue.

Working, all three days... feh. Might get some more copier haikus out of it, but that's not exactly a high point.

I'll be on line for part of the weekend buying gear. Insurance check came through. And Marcus is here for the weekend, so maybe we'll even put down a tune. Oh wait. No Guitars. Damn. Maybe one will have to come from Guitar Center. Wonder if they're having a Labor Day sale?

Our second morning at Niagara Falls. Three days car camping across NY in some beautiful parks and now we're in what they call a Jr Presidential suite. Maybe that's what Dan Quayle stayed in. Or this missy from Alaska. Waking up overlooking Horseshoe Falls is awesome. Did all the maid of the mist and related things yesterday. Might tour a power plant then head to Utica tonight. The most relaxed vacation I've had in years.

QotD: I'm at The Balsams. I played to a fairly small room last night; tonight promises to be busier. I head home Sunday morning, and I have another show that night but it's right in Campton. So Sunday and Monday are for family. We'll probably have a cookout (or two) at my parents' place. That'll be nice. The food here at The Balsams is as good as it gets, but the effort is wasted on my unrefined palate. I'm ready for a burger. :)

roy - whatcha gonna do in utica? there's nothing in utica. very depressing town.

we went to chicoteague/assateague va. only used one tank of gas too, driving a prius is lovely. wild horses, herons, seafood, hikes, ocean swim, etc. fun vacation. unfortunate that we now have to go to work again.

It's half-way to our place in CT, so we just targeted that area to crash. Actually ended up taking a break from driving walking along Onondaga Lake (?) in Liverpool, then eating dinner at the Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse, having much-desired beers and crashing at the local Sheraton (no camp sites available labor day weekend...duh).
