Sundy the 7th day of oh nine, oh eight

Complain about your schedule. Apparently people like that sort of thing.

Image OK, I seem to have survived the night, so, forget what I said about the magazines under my bed. Me mum doesn't need to know about the filth left behind by the previous perverted disgusting tenant that appears to fancy ladies with no clothes on. What a pig! Image

Anything with Christopher Walken is gold.

Can I write-in a Celebrity Jeopardy sketch? The one with David Duchovny playing Jeff Goldblum was pure gold.

Gotta love the Celebrity Jeopardy sketches, especially "I'll take the Penis Mightier".

Evidently I was too lazy to submit any of the Steve Martin monologues or Mr. Bills, so I'm left with recent-ish era dreck. Band solidarity has my vote in this poll. And so it goes. (Reading Lester Bangs, though speaking in bad John Houseman doing Sidney Greenstreet imitations, so obviously I use Vonnegut-isms in a post.

Name the chemicals, win a Kewpie Doll.

"The Penis Mightier" is my fave celebrity Jepordy. The James Brown celebrity hot tub is one my favorite all time SNL skits though, the other is the one where Patrick Swayze and Chris Farley are the last two dances competing for a chippendale spot.

drc: Finally have my home studio set up again, at least to the point that I can record stuff. Took a new vocal take for the album version of Run Faster as a test. It came out great. Also set up Fred for the first time in years (now that I have plenty of room to spare). Maybe he'll show up on a future Song Fight. Woo. (I think the last time I used him was on Octothorpe's "Sign My Box.")

QOTD - Some diced fruit and an onion bagel. Long time ago, now.

I can't think of a favorite SNL skit, but the one I thought of first was "Asswipe Jones". Not great, but my speed. I looked for it once on the Yoube, but I didn't see it there. I haven't watched that show in years though, I have no idea if it's any good anymore.

How about "You like-a da sauce?

Man, you guys are too young.

Two classics! And about the eras when SNL was funniest: At the start, though probably more ballsy and groundbreaking than outright funny, and late 80's early 90's, when it peaked. When the Sandlers and Farleys took the show over, they drove it off a cliff.
Bringin' the stink since 2006.

Recently I was at a Ring of Honor wrestling show and they have a guy on their roster named Brent Albright. Albright has a striking reference to Mr. Belushi. There's nothing odder that watching a wrestling match and hearing people scream Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger. (as well as Toga! Toga!)

Best part of the night was a kid, about 9 years old, doing the Belushi jokes and Albright stopping the match to scream at the kid: "You're not even old enough to know who he is!"

Oh yeah! We forgot to congratulate Niveous for his dick in a box. Niveous' dick in a box is great. As you can see in the graph below, Niveous' dick in a box extends much further than the rest, with a whopping 37% (circled in red). Followed by my cow bell coming up in the rear. It appears that the rest of the Song Fight members just can't measure up to Niveous' dick in a box. But in the immortal words of Rabid Garfunkel, it's not the size of your graph bar that matters, it's the size of your win.........which in this case he lost.
Congrats Niveous, I salute you!
