Hey everyone.

DRC: I've been referred to as depressed-sounding twice today. So I guess it is one of those days.

QotD: If you could make a music video for any Songfight song, what song would you choose and what would the video look like?

QOTD: I'd probably want to do a Paco Del Stinko song. Not sure which one at the moment, but it would probably be one of his scary songs. He tells vivid fun stories.

QotD: I have visions of a cartoon video for Starfinger's "More Than Soup", featuring a dude with a big ol' afro, whose picture was Starfinger's avatar a long time ago. If I were good with Flash I'd try to make it.

TIME!!!

OK, who had "one hour and 12 minutes" in the How Long Before Someone Suggests "More Than Soup" Pool?

Yeah, that was my first thought too.

I spent four hours today getting my motherfucking mouse to work in Windows. WHAT THE HELL.

At this point I'm not even sure what I actually did to get it working, it's just working again. For now. But who knows how it'll be the next time I reboot.

qotd: A long time ago I started animating a music video for my Bad Cat as a way of finally learning Flash. I like what I got so far but as usual I ended up losing steam about halfway through. Someday I might finish it.

Roll - Here I am, back from day one of orientation at my new job. Back to the world of nuthouses. Ahh...breathe the psychosis in deeply. This should be oodles better than the one I used to work at though.

QOTD - That's a good question. Maybe something by Flvxxvm Florvm. Something gritty, dancing in the hoochshack out in the bayou. People with no teeth.

BLT - Boo!

Dre - I thought of you the other day when I was watching old Galaxie 500 videos. Very your style.

I'd kinda like to have some sort of video for one of my songs... since none exists so far (although I think glennny has some video of my NYC gig? Not that my music was that great there...). anyway, which one? I thought Soft Orange Glow would lead to a fun video. Campy, definitely. But I don't even have a video camera!

qotd: FBF's Crinkle Binkle. It has an interesting story, and would be a pretty fun video to make, I think.

Hm, yeah, Crinkle Binkle would be a good one, all with being performed by a jug band dressed up like a barbershop quartet or something. Also, his Last Date has some great imagery in it although I don't think a video would really do the song justice.

I know it could be anyone's song but I'm picking one of mine, so there. I think my entry for Walking the Border would make for a pretty kewl video. Show a dude getting more and more mentally unstable as the song progresses. And in the end, he's hauled off to the looney bin. ^_^
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

Plat's (wait, is Cow Exchange the Plat/Puce powerhouse?) cover of my Here Comes My Dragon. I think animation in the flavor of the movie "Yellow Submarine" would suit the song nicely. Or maybe claymation.
