DRC: It has been a crazy day, filled with lots of work and controversy, but at the end I came out okay. And I started reading Marvel's "March On Ultimatum Saga" which is supposed to chronicle the Ultimates Era of Marvel comics. Wow, is it convoluted.

QotD: Have you ever been through a bad band break-up?

DRC: A trained chimp could do my new job, and would probably have more fun at it than I'm having, too. Nonetheless, it pays a lot more than the old DNC job, so I'm relatively happy, as long as I remember to bring my mp3 player tomorrow.

QotD: In the last two months of college, my band never officially broke up, but we stopped practicing, and after playing two or three gigs in which our lead singer literally forgot the lyrics to "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down," we had to have a stern talk about whether we were still going to be serious about playing together. We kept swearing we'd find the time to practice, but we never did.

QOTD: Never in the sense of artistic differences. I still talk to and get together with almost every person I've ever been in a band with.

back around 2000, e-money and i were in a band with 2 very good friends of mine, and a woman drummer who worked with mark (mark is the chinese guy with long hair that some of you may know and is a part time brody member, like when we need a live drummer). anyways, this woman lori, she was pretty good but the problem was she played straight beat drums pretty good but had problems with anything syncopated. and mark could play better drums then her and he was relegated to playing whatever else we needed, usually keyboards. at some point, i think bill our bass player and eric had real issues with her timing, and enough grousing was going on that mark had to break the news to lori she was out (mostly since they were friends and co-workers). it kind of sucked at first since i really liked lori and her boyfriend, who'd come to practices with her and hang out and was a pretty cool guy. but the news was broken when i wasn't around and i don't think i ever saw lori again after that.

mark though told me a freaky story the other day while visiting. he's been playing in one of his gigging bands for almost 10 years now, and the original lead singer of this band apparently killed himself shortly after he was kicked out of the band. it was freaky because i remember going to see the band play in the city years ago right after the guy got the boot, and the guy showed up during their set and hung out in the crowd and seemed fine with everyone. but apparently he got pretty depressed after it happened. that's heavy.

drc: I made good on yesterday's threat and bought a new MacBook Pro. It is awesome. I finally have a decent machine which can play games AND run Logic. Woo.

qotd: When fluffy porcupine broke up it was horrible. At least Sockpuppet seems to get along a lot better.

I was too busy at work and I missed the daily roll call strait up. (Plus I don't think it was made until later anyways)

QotD: I'll spare you the full details of the story but let it be suffice to say that I messed around with one of the guy's girlfriends and later I caught him in bed (well, on the floor) with mine. That ended that band and I not only lost my girlfriend to him I lost lots of good friends as I became the odd man out of that circle. That was a bad band break up.

QotD: Well Destruction Enterprise is sorta broken up due to the fact that Kyle (Posyden) hasn't been online for like... a year? Maybe a little less. And I have no earthly idea where he went to or why he left. That kinda sucks. Our collabs were always better than our individual crap.
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D
