"Prayer for Pancakes" was not an official fight and should not be in the archives. If I had known it was going to be treated as a fight and all the entries were going to be marked "winner" I would not have participated...

The reason that I am so bothered by that one is that if I send someone to my songfight artist page, the ONE SONG on there that is marked "winner" is something I cranked out in 30 minutes in support of the community. So not only did it deprive me of the King Arthur championship of the world, it also "advertises" the worst sf song I've done...

Nothing to apologize about, Art. You have a point there. Maybe we should move the 30 minute entries to the sidefight archive. All in favor?

Eye!

Yes - I have thought that myself too. While I quite like my entry for that - I, like KA have a big back catalogue ( hello ladies), and having that labelled as my only winner is a little weird, and it was not really a SF! entry as such.

So the King Arthur Award is back on! You are still way ahead of me though - 72 to 56. Even if I consolidated a few various other names (not counting Lyricburglar), I would still only make it to about 62. Unbelievably - Paco del Stinko appears to be 3rd! No wins for The Stink. Is that right!?! Equal 3rd with Wages actually.

It's a tie between my Honeymoon in Polynesia and Lucky Man. With the sidenote that Lucky Man could be something "good" if I ever do it right.

That sidenote applies to p++'s Cur as well. But that one was a part of my monster cycle, so I'm still fond of it (sorry, Albatross  )

I am not against reclassifying the Prayer For Pancakes 'fight'. It seems more like a sidefight to me. When I talk to people about SF, I don't count PFP among my 'wins'.

But I will say that I'm pleased with what I (and KA, and all) came up with in a half hour.

Rone has 28 entries with no wins. Add on Destruction Enterprise (Me and Posyden) that's another 6 songs with no wins.

If I were less lazy I'd have TWICE as many losses as you guys. So there! :P

Everyone has their reasons. I know my reasons, I think they're legit ... but rules are rules, and I've gotten over it.

That's why I'm submitting under my actual name again - so when people google my name, they won't just find my old songs and think I suck at life.

Heh!

Funny you should mention that! Caravan Ray's "Cur" never did see the light of day! It is the only time I have started recording a song and not entered it. I recall doing the final mix thinking "...what am I doing....this is crap....delete"

Anyway - surprisingly, I don't regret any of my actual entries. A lot (most) I would like to re-record - but they are my children and I love them. Even the stupid and ugly ones.

Maybe you could ask Spud and jb if they would "adjust" the archive so that all of these "high school dabblings" were listed as by some other name?

I think they're sticking to their guns, to be honest. But if Spud reads this and decides that it's not too much trouble, moving my old Andrew Reist songs (Crack in my Heart to Clouds Were Touching the Ground) to my Jolly Roger archive would be awesome. If you don't, it's cool ... but I'd prefer to keep that stuff away from the music I make now.

Mostly so people I show my music to will stop focusing on "how much I've improved :x " and look at the music as it is from now on.
