Re: What is Spud's middle name?
One of my worst wrestling experiences:john m wrote:RIIIIIIICOOOOLAAAAAAAAAAA
I went to see ROH in Dover, NJ. That night, they also happened to be filming the movie "The Wrestler". I get to my seat and I slowly begin to realize what section of the crowd I'm sitting in. Behind me were a gaggle of little kids brought in for the movie. To my left was a pair of director Darren Aaronofsky's biggest fans. To my right was two members of the film crew and in front of me was an old angry curmudgeon who didn't seem to be happy at all to be there (I would actually meet the curmudgeon again months later and just found out he was a general grump but he loved being there).
The most I truly realized what part of the crowd I was in was during Claudio Castagnoli's match. He went for the Ricola Bomb. And this would be the call and response moment where the whole crowd yells "RRRRIIIICCCCOOOLLLLLAAAA"!! So I do that....and I'm the only one in my whole section. Awkward.

Re: What is Spud's middle name?
But that's awesome! You were the only real fan there. That's something to be proud of.
To further derail this thread, have you downloaded RoH "New Horizons" yet? That's the PPV I attended. I just skipped through it and it looks as awesome as I remember it being. Danielson/Black was absolutely fucking insane.

That's OK, it's somewhat moot. My middle name is not on that list. SPUDjohn m wrote:To further derail this thread...
Re: What is Spud's middle name?
Not on the list, eh? Well, how about Ray Cojones Freeman? Ray Cutlips Freeman? Ray Coochie Freeman? I will not stop offering stupid alternatives until you reveal your full name.

Re: What is Spud's middle name?
Funny, I picked other. Probably for the wrong reason.
My over thinking freak brain way of breaking it down:
1. Raymond C. Freeman III obviously means three generations.
2. This means these three spans back at least a couple hundred years, which means it will be a traditional name.
3. We already know it starts with C and has seven letters.
4. It also implies a proud bunch.
5. The Freeman name also implies that they're no ones bitch. Non serfs, pirates, Robin Hoods, if you will.
6. The color of his hair and whiskers would indicate Irish, Scottish or English.
7. Because of the proud of their name thing, I'd lean towards Scottish first, then Irish.
8. Spud just indicated that none of the names on the list are correct, so we can rule those out.
At this point I'd look up traditional Scottish and Irish male names that start with C and have seven letters.
Top Irish male names:
Charlie
Conaire
Cailean
Cairbre
Cairell
Cairpre
Top Scottish male names:
Cailean
Caillen
Callum
Cambeul
Chalmer
Chattan
Christy
Clennan
Crannog
Crayton
At this point I have to ask myself, self, why does an obvious proud third generation Ray C. Freeman not use his full middle name?
1. It doesn't roll off the tongue?
2. He is doing it the way his father and his father's father did it?
3. He was teased as a child?
4. It's not dignified to spell it out?
5. It's just C and that's it?
6. No particular reason?
#1. Not reason enough, so that's out.
#2. Probably, but doesn't get me any closer.
#3. Could be. Even though Christy is a popular Scottish name, it could have it's drawbacks as a kid. Also, if I'm pronouncing it right, Cairell could be rough.
#4. Ray doesn't seem hoity-toity. He drinks beer, so nah.
#5. No way. It has to be the name of one of their forefathers.
#6. He'll probably say this is why, but I won't believe him.
My coffee wore off over an hour ago, so I can't think anymore. Someone will have to run with it from here, or I'll continue tomorrow morning.

Crap. I'm going to have a busy morning searching through Swedish names.
Re: What is Spud's middle name?
I googled "swedish names" but couldn't find any swedish boys' names with seven letters. Spud could be trying to throw us off the trail here.

Re: What is Spud's middle name?
If you're going to include the middle name, you've got to include the whole first name, i.e.:
Raymond Chopper Freeman III
Raymond Chicago Freeman III
Raymond Crouton Freeman III
Of course, none of these are correct. It's just a style thing I'm talking about...
