10-25/26-08 the weekend is here

Post by fluffy »

Gosh it's hot out here. This is autumn? Really?

Also I got a haircut, after a year and a half of not getting a haircut. Now my hair looks like my avatar's again (only brown and greying instead of yellow).

qotw: When's the last time you got a haircut?

Got a haircut about two weeks ago. People said it's like a little boys cut. It doesn't matter, as nothing works well up there. (glad I still have all of my hair, greys included)

QotD: Well I haven't had it 'cut' in several years. The last time it was shaved off was probably 4-5 months ago.

DRC: I put up 8 pictures of me in my costume on my myspace page. http://www.myspace.com/ronerivendale Just look under my picture album 'Halloween '08'. I was a goth (again).

I ain't cut my hair in 362 days. Or my moustache, but I am crap at growing a moustache so it looks like I've been at it a week.

Rone why don't you accept my myspace friend requests? Are we not friends :( ?

It is just the way you are doing it. Those requests are supposed to be emailed. Not attached to dead animals shoved in his letterbox.

qotd: I usually go on a two month haircut cycle. I can't stand long hair anymore - I had it pretty shaggy in high school though - my sister said I looked like a sheepdog. And now that I look back ... she was right. And it was pretty sick.

I don't remember the last time I got a haircut. Shaved off my beard recently and started over, however.

DRC: My Halloween party was killer last night. I know it seems early, but Halloween is on Friday, so it couldn't happen next weekend. Also, it was a company/friend party and most of my employees and friends have kids and I know I always looked forward to being with my kids on Halloween, so the last Sat before seemed logical.
Anyway, guess who I was?

QOTD: I need a haircut. I'm starting to look like a demented clown when I wake up in the morning.

A few weeks ago, Allyson and I adopted two new degus to add the four we already had. Unbeknownst to us, one of those degus was pregnant, and she gave birth at some point on Friday night. So now we have infant degu pups. Jeeze.

Funny story, though. We of course didn't know that she was pregnant, so we didn't know she had even given birth until the next day. The first baby I discovered was stillborn, and I was really, really freaked out because I couldn't figure out what in the world a dead baby degu was doing in the bedding, nor why it was there.

Then I heard some squeaking from the right half of the cage, even though all the of the girls were on the left side. Then it started to make some sense.

What's a degu, you ask? Heh. http://www.degutopia.co.uk/ We had four. Then we had six. Now, counting the pups, it's like 11 (I still haven't gotten a good head-count on the babies). My how things happen.

QotD: Last time I got a haircut was about a year ago. I was just trying to even the ends, but came out looking like Rosie O'Donnell.

Congrats on the new arrivals, Jon. I found myself in the same situation once with our guinea pigs. You must feel like a daddy I bet. I love critters.

Those look cute.

Today I've been working on music again. Nothing for song fight per se, just working on my album again. Finally recorded House In My Head, and tuned the vocals on Run Faster yet again, and I think I'm really close to finally being done. Just need to finish a few more tracks. Right now it's 30 minutes long.

Also I found the master tracks/sessions for the original Run Faster on a backup hard drive I hadn't looked at in a few years, and a few other song snippets I never got around to doing anything with. Woo.

If you think the ones on the site are cute, you should see the pups in our cage. I've been trying to get some pictures, but they're rather elusive. We're a bit panicked about what we're going to do in a couple of months when they reach sexual maturity. If we don't separate the males, potential further inbreeding may occur. We don't have anywhere to put the males. This will present problems.

A quick trip to the vet could clear up that problem right quick. Snip snip.
