QotD: I would like to take this opportunity to mention that many of the places I like to get lunch around here have really gone downhill over the last couple months. This one pizza place downtown used to be my favorite, and now I won't even eat there.

Oh, it's the 12th in the real world now.
Ok, hmmm. Orange County CA. is a pretty nice place to live. The beach, the mountains, the atmosphere. But it is stupid expensive!

Re: 12 November 2008
Seattle ain't bad. There are only two seasons here, Wet and Dry. Wet isn't as wet as some places I've seen, and Dry is never quite dry for long either. I wear the same clothes all year round, but that's me. I tend to to pick my clothes for other reasons than comfort or warmth. What sucks about Seattle? As long as I got onto the subject of clothing, fashion is pretty crappy. People wear fucking jeans and t-shirts to fancy restaurants. There is hardly anywhere you can go and dress up and be pretty sure that everyone else is going to be dressed up as well. OK, maybe Tini Biggs, but how may martinis can I drink with 21 year olds in suits? Consequently, it's hard to find decent clothing here, if you don't want to look like you just walked out of Northern Exposure. I buy clothes in Vancouver, B.C., Toronto, when I get there, and most often, Hong Kong, when I can find them in my size. On a positive note, Frontalot is playing here Sunday night, at the High Dive. See, it ain't bad.

Re: 12 November 2008
I got a new camera today. Sony DSC-W150. It's pretty good, quality-wise, although it feels a bit awkward to hold. But it definitely beats the crap out of my old camera (Canon Powershot A400) in every possible way, at least in terms of image and color quality, optical zoom, image stabilization, and fitting in my pocket. Too bad I didn't have this camera a few years ago when I actually cared about taking nice-looking photos.
Oh well. My mom also arrives tonight (she's here until Sunday) so I'll have things to take pictures of.
Spud: I never had trouble finding clothes I like in Seattle, but then again I mostly just wear khakis and t-shirts, and the occasional button-down shirt. Basically Target is the alpha and omega of my wardrobe.

Heh. Good stuff, y'all. I like Seattle, for all its weirdness and soggy discomforts.
Cop wasn't up to speed on the current "rules" in re filing stalking orders when we filed the initial report last week. Spent a chunk of the day (an hour, but have you spent a solid hour filling out forms on 3ply ncr forms? Still have a fucking dent in my thumb from the ball-point pen) at the courthouse, only to find out that it's not a same-day transaction, but I get to go back to the courthouse tomorrow for the preliminary hearing (after which, I get to enjoy a face-to-face in court in ±4weeks *IF* she so choses to attend. I'm there then anyway, but she has the option of leaving the ruling to the court's discretion and not attending if she so chooses).
What a way to spend the first two days of a vacation.
Guess there's no simple crossroads blues entry for me this title. And I've been freshening up on my Little Walter, too.
Duty now for the future, yo.
Any chance of the next title being "One-Trick Pony"?
/spitefulness
@Ross: Damn, I loved Dog Beach in Huntington. Speaking of (vaguely)... is the dancing guy (all in black, down to the pork-pie and black gloves) still gamboling along PCH?

But that was just the initial thingy (I'm a private guy, what can I say?) So, to pre-re-iterate (for those of you who aren't Alby and have pieces of the back story), I have an ex. She's been harassing me and my wife since before we were married. I'm crazy-mad-in-love with my wife and have been since the moment we met face-to-face last year.
In fact, what makes the Spokane helltel experience even more fun is the ex was sending emails (which my wife intercepted, being that we're open and stuff) to me that same night which made my 4 hour quest for beer in Sunday latenight Spokane that much more sour.
No means no, and women need to learn that too. Fuck it, papers are filed with the court and I don't have to be circumspect with my public persona anymore to avoid psychotic responses. Responses to statements that have nothing to do with one particular misguided reader.

Re: 12 November 2008
Wait, you posted about that in the past, in the future thread from this! Time travel!!!
Okay a bit more seriously, uh. Wow, that's a bit messed up. Hopefully the restraining order will help. Your brief summary reminds me of this oddball case.
Good luck.

OMG, LMFBO!
Enough texting crap, the first name is the same, which only adds to the (okay, very dark and queasy) humor of the situation. But yeah, it's stress I (we) don't want in our lives.

Dude... dude.
(Currently enjoying the agonies of bleaching, me. As well as posting from Kimi's PC.)
This crap has swelled up like a tidal wave (Pacific NW thing). And my cell phone web-interface is SO not friendly for minute-by-minute updates.

Sorry to hear about your psycho exes. But like they always say, they only kill the ones they love.

State's just being whiny. Fort St. John is crappy. It's hell for anyone who isn't into retardedly oversized pickup trucks, and there is enough camo worn in this town that we don't show up on google earth anymore.
Irwin: I'd sell my soul to jesus to program drums like signboy.

Yeah, LA is awesome. Where else can you stay at a cheap motel which is guarded by BAT MAN?!
