Konichiwa Songfighters.

QotD: It's almost the holidays. If you were given a $3,000 dollar gift certificate to Musician's Friend, what would you buy for yourself?

I'd sell it to one of you fuckers for $2,000 and then put it in the bank.

QotD: This is all I'm currently pining for, really. I'd find a use for the rest of the money easily enough though. :)

I've been wanting a drum machine for a little while now - since I started listening to more rap, I'd like to at least have the power to do similar stuff under my fingertips. Not that I'd use it for rap (very often :P )

And a vocoder. That would be fun.

Some people swear by these:

I'm not at all convinced it'd make enough of a difference to justify the price tag. The room I record in is pretty quiet anyway. But hey, give me a free $3000 at MF and I'd go for it.

This is an evil question. It made me look at all sorts of things I can't afford - like a Music Man Bass, a VHT Univalve, and an EHX HOG. :x

Here.

QOTD: Hmmm - I have a list of guitar types I'd like - 12-string, hollow body electric, dobro.

I would replace all the shit that got stolen that I didn't notice was stolen at first. My snake, some effects and pedals, etc., etc., etc. Mostly small stuff, but it adds up.

I have a HOG. It's not an everyday effect, but pretty neato. I'd probably get a nice compressor or some such thing.

A Martin D-15 and a Fender Twin. And the rest on SM-57s, cables, stands and (of course) shipping & handling. Or a better theremin, heh.

A 6-string bass. Maybe a couple more things to hit for my e-kit. After that, all bets are off.

Cool! If you put it to use in a fight, let me know. The videos make it look like a lot of fun, but I've never even seen one in a store.

I would probably get a better acoustic guitar and/or a cello and that'd probably be the end of it.
