Progress report time.

Personally, I'm in dire straits over how I'm going to finish up my song by the deadline. The catastrophic hard drive failure put a kink in the works. I'm hoping to have the computer back up and running by Thursday. Then I'm going to see if I can pull it all together with a little help from my friends.

How's everyone else doing?

If anyone wants to send me something to hear, you can send it to niveous.devilchild AT gmail.

After multiple false starts, I finally got something good happening last night. Track will be complete by this weekend for sure.

There's been no power and no heat at my studio space for the last couple weeks. When that gets fixed (this weekend?), I'll be able to lay down some tracks. The delay has caused me to practice the song much more than I normally would before recording. Well, the G&G part anyway. I'm still not sure about the rest of the arrangement. Looking forward to doing it though.

I haven't found a lot of time for this, and may need to ask for more time, barring some all day holiday vacation jams if the BSS fellows are in town...

Dang, I can't get anything going for this.

Lord of Oats, if you see this and have an idea going, give me a pm. If not, we can both just continue crying in our respective corners.

Progress Report time.

If things are going for others like they are going for me, things aren't going swimmingly.

I have done my first draft (perhaps final) and sent them off to J$ for his work to be done.

That applies to me. I hope my failure at the NPCA doesn't disqualify me from all future Niv sidefights.

But for real, when I've got family over (grandparents/my sister and her husband), I won't let myself spend hours cooped away in a recording room. It just doesn't happen.

I did some recording today and it all got erased when the power went out. I should be able to get new tracks done tomorrow though, as I'm on vacation from the day job.

I'm certain that we won't make the New Year's deadline :( Any chance of an extension? We really want to give you something nice.

There's a good chance for an extension. Let's get some more progress reports. Details people. I need details.
