No actually. While my dad does listen to some OLD country, they were listening to 70's folk (and rock) when I was growing up. For that matter, my dad listened to Bing Crosby records (and tapes) at Christmas while my mom played classical music renditions of Christmas music. While I can deal with Bing Crosby and classical music, I prefer the warmth and simplicity of country music as a better representation of what Christmas is to ME. (That's obviously an opinion that I don't EXPECT anyone to agree with even if they do.) (except that lame SANTA version of Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train, in fact that's a lame song to begin with) Even Jewl's Silent Night is almost a country song if not just because it's mostly acoustic.
I hate the lyric 'figgy pudding' too.
