I'll be the first to beg that the deadline be moved from Jan 10 to January 12th. That will give us one more full weekend to wrap the recording. (Those of us who work the regular old 9-5 m-f slog.) Whatsaya Niv?

I'll consider the move to the new date but I need progress reports. Do people need the extra time? Details...

Mine is done, but I decided to add some more guitar textures and cool panning before I send it off. Realistically, a couple hours is all I need and will be done this Sunday.

I haven't started yet - but I do pride myself on my punctuality.

Still in Sydney - I fly to Wellington tonight and will get home to Taranaki on the 3rd. So can't start until then. Existing date should still be OK - but I will not complain if an extension is granted.

....and Happy New Year all. It has been 2009 for some 14 hours now, Kiwi-time. Same old same old as far as I can tell.

I've just started mine, so theretically I need as many days as I can get. However the 12th isn't much better than the 10th as I'll be all tied up that weekend anyway.

I will be in by the 10th. I appreciate that that weekend is also useful for assignments of no-shows to substitutes and for some of the mastering to happen.

As announced previously in this thread - I am offering to organize the covering of songs for those who get stiffed. I have also communicated with Niv about this - so send me a PM if you'd like to be part of this effort - hopefully there will be no need, but just in case....

So far I have these people on the list:
Me
Jim Tyrell
Jack
Lunkhead
Blue
Paco del Stinko

I'm pushing it, but I think I should be able to get in on the 10th.

However, because I'm probably going to cut it close, I have to ask: are we allowed to submit any time on the 10th to be eligible, or is it like the main fights and it has to be in by 9:59 am?

Yes. Look at the previous years' archives via Niv's links in the first post of this thread.

I submitted mine in order to stop myself from messing with it further. I already caught myself this morning recording stuff that really doesn't need to be there. Hope you like if, giftee. It's different from my usual or at least I tried to make it that way.

It's unusual for me to have not started recording my GoM by now. But I know how I'm going to approach it, and I should be doing the first tracks tonight. I'll make this deadline.
