Eh. Kind of a one-joke movie, but if you think that one joke is funny for an hour and half, it's great.

Yeah, that was my point. I'm not dissing the movie. After the first 15 minutes or so I'd pretty much seen it, though.

Sounds like you mistook the manner of the characters and dialogue for "the joke" and missed out on the jokes within.

"This is the best video ever!"
"Like anyone could ever even know that."
*JB cracks up, quotes ad nauseum*

And the "time machine"! Oh man. Heh. Hehehe.

Anchorman (which I saw on the same day) made me laugh harder than Napoleon Dynamite, but I still really liked it. And I definitely don't think it's a one-joke movie.

Movies are a luxury here... I live on an island, so going to the cinema means a babysitter, and a ferry ride to the mainland... thus we wait for video a lot of the time.. and this one I look forward to seeing. Looks quirky.

Uh.... You have the internet, man.

Get yourself some p2p software and download movies the night after they come out. Sometimes you'll get really lucky and find them before they premiere.

I found a leaked somewhat incomplete Team America: World Police online. I could tell it was leaked because it was missing music and stuff in some places, and I could tell that some of the scenes hadn't been mastered.

Anyways. Shareaza is what I use. Familiar Kazaa-like interface, and you can download torrents with it, too :)

Dude, why don't you just do something illegal? I mean, these boards are public and everything, so why don't you just go steal intellectual property?

It pisses me off when... Oh wait, wrong thread.

actually i found one half of the movie... can't find the other half of it though...

i watch the first half... if i really enjoy it... i'll most likely talk someone into renting it... or something haha

(generic... ehhh not everyone feels as strongly about it...) i don't always feel like certain movies deserve my money when it comes down to rarely having any... it's a picky thing...
but if it's good enough i will

Oh, I didn't download it. I don't download any copyrighted material, because that would be illegal.

Besides, I paid my $8 to see the film in theatres, and I'm going to buy it when it comes out on DVD, same as I did with FH911.

i finally got around to seeing it...
it had a few funny parts... but i think jim was right about it bein' the same joke for an hour and a half
it had some decent stuff...
but i think it could've been better
but all and all it wasn't a big disappointment....

out on dvd now, you should definitely purchase it. it's the double-sided kind with widescreen on one and full screen on the other, like all dvd's should be. lots of good bonus shit too.
