Checked in with Adam (booking guy) again today, and it is likely going to be Friday, August 28th and Saturday, August 29th.

Don't make your travel plans just yet, because those dates are not set in stone. We should have a definite answer by Monday for sure, and I'm supposed to give him a call if I haven't heard from him by then.

ROCK!

I also just left a voicemail asking about the availability of Friday July 17th and Saturday July 18th.

Again, I'll update this when I know which dates are a go.

damn - I hoping to make it for this one, but once again it seems unlikely. I'm sure Glen will make this one an event to remember

We are planning on heading to the States this year - but it seems like we will be coming earlier in the year - I don't think I can stretch it out to Jul/Aug to include this in the itinary. Missed it by that much 99.

(Hope to have my own details planned soon - and plan on catching up with people in NY and possibly LA around about April or May)

I am 90% sure that I will be there! I'm going to Seattle at some point over the summer, so as long as the SFL dates work out, I just have to find some way to hop over to Spokane.

Btw, I'm in classes till July 24, so dates after that would be preferred. Just my two cents. Damn my summer semesters!

(Although, this means I'm definitely going to have to find some way to record in my dorm during spring/summer semester so that I actually have some new stuff recorded... Ahh!)

We should work out an LA show when you're in town "down there".

Given my somewhat unstable financial situation and the fact that I live in Texas (which, as you may have noticed, is a considerable distance away from Washington), I am committed to doing everything in my power to make it to SF Live 09. It might, in the end, be impossible for me to make it. But if it's at all possible, I'll be there.

The dates are set!

Songfight Live 2009
Empyrean Coffee House
Friday July 17th and Saturday, July 18th.
154 S. Madison
Spokane, WA 99201
509-838-9819

The venue is only a few blocks away from the historic Davenport Hotel. See?

You can start making travel plans if you like. Rachael has requested the week off from work, and I will make sure to have the entire week off as well.

We'll have some rehearsals and group activities mapped out for earlier in the week.

More information and a website are forthcoming.

ROCK!

That hotel looks WAY too fancy for Spokane, though.

Make no mistake, the Davenport is fancy, and perhaps a bit spendy. We also still get the occasional panhandlers in that immediate area right now, 'though I suspect we might see less of that soon. Emphasis on the word 'might'.

I'll get some other hotel suggestions ready too. The Davenport would be a choice for those who wish to go all out and stay in a beautiful, historic building that happens to be close to the venue.

It should also be pointed out that we live roughly 3 miles away from the venue. Rehearsals will happen in the basement of our house.

Of course, you could always stay in the Downtowner again. ;)

On another note: I would say that a trip to Silverwood will probably be in order earlier in the week for those who are interested. [It's around 52 miles east of Spokane, but carpooling shouldn't be an issue.]

ROCK!

As indy rock as the Downtowner is, if I'm going to stay for more than a couple days I want to not be worried about someone running off with my kidneys.

I have shows booked for both of those nights. But it's early enough for me to try to reschedule them. :)

Update: One show rescheduled, and I should be able to arrange for a fill-in guy to take the other show. Looking good. My brother is in Leavenworth, WA, and this would be a good opportunity for me to take a week off and visit.

Updated further: done. I no longer have obligations for this weekend. I still gotta put in for the time off, and try to make up a little income, but count me IN.

If I'm in Washington or Idaho, I'll be there. I'd say odds are that I will, but I'm putting in for an internship somewhere else that starts July 1.
