DRC: So I got the day off and will be spending it doing a alot of things but not really accomplishing anything (awesome huh?).

QotD: Have you had any dentistry done?

I ask cuz I've had a bad tooth ache since last night. Kept me up half the night. Still have it now as I type this. Hard to think about anything else! And nope, never had anything done. I should at some point in my life I guess. I have no less than 3 teeth that are like halves. Also I have had wisdom teeth come in from all four sides and so I'm pretty crowded.

Edit: Well lookie there. That's my 1000th post! Mwhahaha! What a dumb post to make my 1000th. Can I delete it? lol jk

Rone - Get your ass, and mouth, to the dentist pronto. You're going to be toothless and/or worse if you don't. While I'm not qualified to diagnose anything over the computer, or in the real world either, what you're saying is a no brainer. Get your teeth some help!

QOTD - Yes. I had a root canal many years ago and over time have had all of my old silver fillings replaced with ceramics. I may not have a Hollywood smile, but my teeth are in good shape. Last visit to an MD, though? That's where I need the lecture.

I have my teeth cleaned regularly and I'm overdue to get all four wisdom teeth out. My wife's job's health benefits finally kicked in for me, so I'll probably get that taken care of sooner rather than later.

QotD: I've had a couple root canals and a bunch of fillings. I'm a little better about taking care of myself now. Now that there's less to take care of, I guess.

I had braces in Jr. high and I've had a couple teeth filled back in the day. I haven't been to the dentist in years. I take pretty good care of myself, well, I probably drink more than I should, but I haven't had the need for any unnecessary medical treatment and I plan to keep it that way.

I have had a lot of dental work done. I had three front teeth when I was a kid. Really. One time, I had a root canal, and before they did the second I half, I got Bell's Palsy, and they couldn't give me any anesthetic for the second half, where they drive spikes into the root. They did it with two other guys holding me down by the shoulders into the chair.

I was never keen on dental work, and I am less so after that experience. And you wonder why I sound like a Klingon.

I know thinking before you type isn't your strong suit, but maybe you can tell me what's wrong with this clause?

Earlier today I was planning on going on another hike up Bernal Hill (this time with my new video camera), and then tonight I was going to go to a party at a friend's place which I'd been looking forward to, but early this afternoon I suddenly felt very nauseous and queasy and had a headache which turned into a migraine, which I'm still recovering from. So I'm in a mostly-dark room with my display inverted which always helps, and I have a late dinner cooking.

Also just as I was starting to feel nauseous I decided maybe I needed some fresh air, so I decided to go to the grocery store. Which was ON FIRE. Meh. As much as I hate that Safeway, it's still way better than any of the other grocery stores in the area so I hope it's not closed for long. (I'm not sure if it's the store itself which was on fire or if it was a car in the parking lot or what. There were fire trucks and a bunch of billowing smoke. Whatever it was I can't find any stories on the local news stations' websites though.)

qotd: I have lost track of the number of fillings I have, and many of them are old enough that they need to get replaced. My teeth kind of went to hell in grad school (no dental plan) and I didn't start going to the dentist again until I moved to Seattle (when I ended up getting about a dozen fillings and a crown on one of my molars), so that was about 5 years without regular checkups. Now I get a checkup every 6 months, and seem to need 1-2 fillings a year.

rone: With all due respect, you are an idiot. Three teeth which are "like halves" and letting your wisdom teeth come in? I know you've been admonished already but, dude, what the FUCK.

Yes, which is fine if your mouth is big enough to fit them. From Rone's description, his clearly isn't.

Yeah, I have my wisdom teeth also. When I got braces, they pulled 4 molars to make room for adjusting my teeth. They made room for my wisdom teeth to grow in correctly as my rear molar teeth. I have heard that the wisdom teeth can still cause problems later in life, but I "think" that's only if the grow in wrong. I've never had an issue yet.
