Re: 1/2[45]/09
I just watched In the Realms of the Unreal and enjoyed it. The art was lively and very personal, I thought, but the story of the man was most interesting. Like, I don't think I have any interest in reading the 15,000 page book. Of note were the Vivian Girls, known to me through an old Monks of Doom song. Nicely produced film, though, and well worth seeing, so thanks for the suggestion, Niveous!

Well I'm mostly surprised that they're not in Denver, in particular.Billy's Little Trip wrote:They seem to be like real traders. Most of the locations are coastal to the mountain ranges. Now I remember why I hate Trader Joe's so much. Gah. I guess Safeway is still the least-shitty option for quick-and-easy stuff. Maybe it's time to simplify my diet and just stick to stuff I can make myself from the bulk foods section at Rainbow.

I'm not so sure I'd want to purchase my groceries from a store that sounds like a feminine hygiene product.Ross wrote:But also at the new Fresh and Easy.

mmmm... it seems like your requirements for living/survival are high up there.fluffy wrote: I am rather hungry. I need to go grocery shopping but I am pretty squicked out by basically every grocery store around here. Safeway is mouse-infested, the various Mexican produce stands always sell stuff that's rotten, Whole Foods has an asshole CEO, and Rainbow Grocery is rather overpriced and crowded. And I've never been a fan of Trader Joe's. Why do grocery stores have to suck so bad?

Roots is the best one (local organic shop) but it's a little difficult to get to. Need to make a special trip. Often we just go to SupaFresh or something.

No. Anal sex would be "arse rooting".fluffy wrote:Is that Kiwi slang for anal sex or something?
I probably would not buy my groceries from a store called "Arse Rooting". Well, not carrots or cucumbers anyway.

I read today about a jellyfish - Turritopsis nutricula. It can undergo a transdifferentiation back to its polyp stage.
It is said to be the only living creature that "reverts to a sexually immature stage after reaching adulthood". I beg to differ. I did that years ago.
