I drink rum. When I mix one too strong and take a sip, I always say Arrr, but rarely say matey. But when I mix it with Lipton pre sweetened lemon flavored ice tea and my body doesn't know whether to get the jitters or calm down......well, you know, shwing.

Hey man, I've never been a fan of rum either. But I love pirates. If I was a pirate I would drink rum all day.

I'm not drunk, but tonight was wing night, so you know how it goes. But honestly, without wing night on Mondays, I would probably kill myself every week. Seriously, 12 hours at school is not my thing.

Hah... It's a good thing that button combo deleted my message, as I'm sure that based on the message that I did write, would not have been good. There is a reason I never post in this thread when I am actually fdrink.

As for pirates, they are alright. Scurvy dogs everyone of them but alright. Rum is not good however as I once brought a bottle of "Big Black Dick Rum" (how can you not buy a bottle with that name?) home from the islands, where my brother-in-law and I decided we would play "High Low" with the deck of cards sitting around the table, and we would take shots if we were wrong. One giant bottle of "Big Black Dick Rum" later... and I stayed in bed for 24 hours... only leaving (many times) to pray to the throne.

Gin... not my thing either. I'm a Scotch guy... even if it doesn't love me back.

edit: However I can drink a bottle of Johnny Walker and be OK. Well other than being a drunken asshole...

I actually tried to drink some Johnny Walker red label last night, but after one drink, I remembered I don't like whiskey. That's when I switched to vodka, because I was out of Bacardi. I have a headache now and feel a bit queasy, lol. Ice tea and vodka goes down too easy and the more you drink, the more awake you become, leading to more drinking, lol. Two things that fix my hangover right up. Either tacos or Top Ramen.

Drank about 7 beers at home, then got restless... there's a casino about 4 blocks from my house.

Now, let's get one thing straight- I am not a good person when it comes to gambling. I had my bad run with it, and I shouldn't do it at all. I'm not ashamed to admit this. But I got drunk today, and got this idea in my head that going to the casino would be a good idea. So I cleaned up a bit (shaved, put on some deodorant, clean shirt, etc) and started the 4 block trek to the casino. I had visions of 4-of-a-kinds in poker, etc., and when I got there, I noticed the tables were all closed... I asked someone, and apparently, the tables shut down at midnight. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GAMBLE WHEN THE TABLES ARE ALL SHUT DOWN?! Well the slot machines go till 2 am, so I had $20 in cash on me. I walked around the casino for a bit, until I got the 'buzz'* from a machine. I tried to insert my 20 in it, but it kept rejecting it. The Lady next to me said "Put it in the machine next to it, then cash it out and put the ticket in.... that's what I do" so I did. And it worked. And within 5 spins of the machine, I was up to 150 bucks, so I cashed out. And I am happy now.

*That pseudo-scientific 'feeling' a chronic gambler gets when approaching a machine which he feels is 'ripe'.

I'm not a gambler, but I do gamble occasionally, weekly poker game at my house, when we take the boat to the river in Laughlin Nevada, etc. But I know that feeling on a slot machine. But I have a method, too. I watch the night before which machine(s) is hitting and giving back small amounts. These are good because other people eye them and swoop in to play on them the second the other old lady gets off of it. Then in the morning when I wake up and I need coffee, I go down to the slots, find the machine(s) I scoped out. Most people are still sleeping, so they are all open and I'll start on the quarter machine, usually Wheel of Fortune, start with $20 and get my free coffee. Let it hit the wheel a half dozen times to see if it's ready to give up the big numbers. If it doesn't I'll cash out at double my money, so I leave $40, then go to the next machine I previously scoped out. If it hits 600 or better on the wheel ($150), I cash out and quit.
This only works in the morning with coffee. Because if I do it at night when I'm drinking, I'll not only put all the money back in the machine, I will usually put an extra couple hundred in it too.

rad... i hate gambling because i have a horrid feeling when i receive nothing for my hard earned dollar... the same feeling i get when someone pays more for something then they should have... like my brother buying an hdmi cable for $30 when he could have paid $5 at monoprice.com... horrid feeling i say! last night there was karaoke & $3 anythings... so i was drinking tall glasses of vodka & redbull... i woke up late today... and smell like a bar... fantastic!
