Yeah, I love how he wins it in a cereal box, and picks t-pain. Plus, "take a good hard look at the mother f**in' boat". Lonely Island is hit or miss, but this is funny.

No. It's funny because Steve Martin used to be a proper comedian. Now he is reduced to doing crap remake movies. It's sort of tragi-comedy.

I dunno, for me his most memorable good roles were also in movie remakes. Little Shop of Horrors and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (a remake of Bedtime Story) are my favorite roles of his, and The Man with Two Brains was sort of a remake/parody of The Brain That Wouldn't Die.

Incidentally, it looks like a remake of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is in development, although casting hasn't begun yet.

I still think "The Jerk" was a great comedy. I just recently saw it again after many years.
...and not a remake that I know of.

I actually haven't seen that one, although I've heard it's excellent (if it were just you I'd point out that you also thought the hamburger scene was hilarious but I mean I've heard it from other people whose senses of humor I trust). And yeah, it's not a remake. So, okay, that's one.

Why!?!?! Is that because it has Michael Caine in it and his accent is incomprehensible to Americans? Are they going to move the setting from the Cote d'Azure to Miami so that Americans can understand what is happening?

Could somebody please tell American film and television producers to stop remaking things that do not need remaking. There already is a perfectly good set of Pink Panther movies, with Peter Sellers. Dodgy remakes are not required.

Likewise dodgy remakes of The Office are not required.
Likewise dodgy remakes of Kath & Kim are not required.
The lastest atrocity I have seen is the Seppo version of Life On Mars. Fuck that is bad
