March Nine. March Nine. Oh Nine. March Nine.

Complain about your schedule. Apparently people like that sort of thing.

March Nine. March Nine. Oh Nine. March Nine.

Post by Phil. Redmon. »

This morning I went and picked up a 60w type b bulb for our crayola crayon factory. We've got three swirlers a cookin' right now.

Allison has started a collection. It features soda caps quite heavily.

Spencer is making some sweet stunt ramps with crayons.

I got some depressions this weekend, but today seems significantly better.

We watched Ghost Town on Saturday. It was just fine! Though, if Greg Kinnear is gonna be in a movie, I'd rather it was "Greg Kinnear Gets Hit In The Face With A Rake For Ninety Minutes."

QUTD: Long-Term Application Usability; is it in you?

Long Term Application Usability is in me, but that's because I deal with it everyday. I doubt it's in anyone else though.

I could pose another QotD, I s'pose, that might apply to more people maybe?

What do you need to add to your wardrobe for Spring and Summer to make it complete? OMFG, I'm such a girl! Boo!

I need to buy:
a light spring jacket
a new bra (has nothing to do with spring/summer, I just need a new one because the one I favor frequently is now poking me in the under-boob)
a new pair of jeans or two
some cute short sleeve or 3/4 sleeve shirts
new sandal type shoes
new Chucks - my current pair are in really bad shape
maybe some skirts?
Lots of other stuff

Will I be able to get this stuff? Not right now, but maybe someday - stupid being broke!

Spencer has the day off from school today so last night when I was getting him to bed, he says "you should just call your boss in the morning and tell her you need the day off". If only it were that simple!

Go team Redmon!

I am going on tour at the end of this month. Sort of. I'm playing two shows in Asheville, NC (March 31, April 2). I'm looking for a show to play on the way down, and/or on the way back. NY? DC? PA?

QUTD: Long Term Application Usability? Don't think so. I'm an older model.

QOTD: Wardrobe? Just got some new shoes that kick ass, but we've got (and are getting) so much snow I'm not wearing 'em yet. Gotta dig out some warm weather stuff though, I hear it's about 80 in NC right now.

I have finally cleaned out my project queue a bit. It's a good feeling. Now I can do some work on the NPCA and my new album. Between that and my wrestling game (which has had a lot of recent activity), I'm sure my queue will be full again.

QUTD: Huh?

QOTD: A new hoodie (I can never have enough hoodies).

Question Uve the Day 1: I have no idea what that means. But I gave it a sporting chance and still was unclear after two google pages as to how that applies to me, so my a.d.d. kicked in and I gave up. So I'm going to say...maybe? Image

Question of the Day 2: I just bought a new Rip Curl spring suit (wet suit) about 3 weeks ago. For some reason my old one shrunk after 3 years, cha. I'm pretty sure the economy is the reason. *shakes fist at sky* Damn you economy!

By the way, Niv. I started the nickname unibombers for hoodies around my house and now amongst my kids and their friends. I've been contemplating it as a brand name for a line of explosively awesome hoodies with designs that have flames, smoke and body parts scattered about. My wife, yet AGAIN, shot down my brilliance in fear of upsetting the Unibomber victims families. Now there is a UK company called Unabomber and they make some pretty cool designs. I refuse to buy one out of spite.
....maybe I'll invent the unitard. A line of explosively awesome leotard with designs that have flames, smoke and body parts scattered about.

QUTD: The very first C++ app I wrote, which is also the very first CGI/web app I wrote, is still powering a fairly large shareware archive at my old university, 15 years after I wrote it. Frankly, that's kind of a scary thought. Anyway it seems to still be pretty usable, even if it looks a bit dated now (it's also more than a little disturbing that it still seems to have a lot of active traffic, what with it being focused on OS/2 shareware... I mean, come on, who uses OS/2 anymore?).

QOTD: On Saturday, the day I sent foodsexsleep off to CDBaby, I also ordered some socks from Sock Dreams. CDBaby and Sock Dreams are both based in Portland. Both packages arrived at their respective destinations today. It's like a bizarro exchange program - socks for Sockpuppet. It has a certain symmetry I enjoy (much like the socks, which are mostly various argyles, of course).

Man, there is enough problem with simple usability, in most cases. Long-term would be a bonus.

I have never worn a hoodie in my life. On the other hand, I have never wore a pair of blue jeans, either.

Spud, man, I'm with you! No, ya see, the university that I work for is designing a new online admissions application and I'm on the functional team, etc etc, blah blah blah. So we'd like it work long term. We launched a "short" term application last year, but it's not working well.

Also, I do not understand how a person can go through life having never worn jeans.

When I'm not wearing blue jeans, I like to turn a hoodie upside-down and back-to-front and wear it as a cheeky and alluring pair of trousers.

now that i have lost the weight i wanted to lose and have leveled off for the time being i should get a second pair of jeans. and maybe new hiking boots, which i wear every day. mmmm so comfortable.

long-term application usability.... you'd have to ask the users. although i am always amazed that the (Brian Eno) Oblique Strategies app I wrote in college is still available on the web. I wrote that in Visual Basic around 1992.

Wow, I'm so inconsistent. I started this email in all lowercase and then switched halfway through.

I buy clothes on few occasions and figured the new job was a good excuse to cover this decade. Plus I have to look a little sharper than normal, apparently. Shoes, 2 suits, undies, brightly colored tees, socks, jeans. I did try on an Agnes B suit and shirt that were the bomb, but that would have been a little suicidal. Man I like Agnes B, though. Should have married into that family somehow. Is that girly enough for you, Heather?

Oh, I'm not really that girly at all... It's just that, as of late, we've had a newish arrival to the community who enjoys posting often, and who likes to point out her gender every chance she gets... I was just kinda makin' a little fun!

But, yes, that was quite girly Roymond! :)
