Heidi and I hope to attend, though, as always, my work schedule will dictate wether or not I am actually able to. That is assuming, of course, that I actually find a job by then...

Maybe. But I'd probably be ostracized.

I haven't seen anybody ostracized at a songfight event. we're very inclusive.

I'm having a little trouble convincing my wife to let me go. I will be away in Europe for two+ weeks and would only be home for about five days before jetting off to Spokane. My new plan is to try to convince her to come along. But I think that will only happen if Erik (her brother) is there. So what do you say Erik? I already have a hotel room booked and you are welcome to stay with us in exchange for helping me convince Chris to go.

I've been scouring about for the least-expensive tickets from Austin to Spokane, and if it helps, Erik, I'll e-mail/PM you the very instant I find a good price.

What I learned today: Southwest Airlines won't book travel between San Francisco and Spokane, for some bizarre reason.

(My second choice airline, Alaska, does, though, so no problem. I just thought I'd share.)

Southwest recently cut a whole bunch of their direct flights, so it's entirely possible that they did run a SF-to-Spokane direct as recently as six weeks ago. Most of their Austin-direct flights are still running, though. :)

I don't mean there's no direct flight - I mean there's no flights AT ALL, connections or otherwise. If you select SFO as the departure, it actually removes Spokane from the destinations list.

Perhaps I don't, but as I just told Spud on the IRC channel moments ago... it's a GREAT poster.
