I decided to sit down and just listen to the FAWM jukebox to try to find some good stuff in there from people I'd never heard of before. It didn't take long. First "gold" (so far so good, but I'm only a few tracks into the album, and 14 is a lot of songs) struck is a dude named Paul Otteson, who's got a bit of an Iron and Wine feel, a bit of a Sufjan Stevens vibe, among other influences/references.
Has anyone else discovered any good new music via FAWM?

I just noticed oddbod did FAWM, too:

I really liked that guy's few SF! entries. His song "You Suck at Photoshop", inspired by the series of funny videos of the same title, is pretty good:

Guess I'm not the only one who was lacking for lyrics and grabbed the nearest thing with a voice, heh.
Seriously though, the -core suffix has now officially jumped the shark.
