DRC: My ego took a bit of a hit this weekend. I was talking to my wife about music and she said that she liked a song because it reminded her of "when you used to play guitar". OUCH. I think me and my guitar need to get reacquainted.

QotD: I have really negative feelings on pot, and pot smokers in general. I'll keep them to myself tho, oops too late. I think I'm more at odds with the pot smoker mentality than the actual pot smoking. That all the people I know who smoke pot think it's sooo cool dude, and it should totally be legal man. Also the smell makes me nauseous, and I get sick if I smoke it. But I like to drink, so who am I to argue.
Edit: Also the people who don't think it hurts your lungs make me laugh.

QotD: I don't understand why it's not legal and taxable in the United States yet. Seems like we'd have a lot fewer problems in a lot of ways.

Roll Call: Not bad, for a Monday. Gonna pick up some masking tape and spray adhesive after work, and see if I can't get the old screenprint press going again. That'll be fun.
QotD: I think people should be allowed to do whatever they want, so long as they're not hurting anyone else. The stuff doesn't sit well with me personally, though, so I don't do it.

Well, on the bright side, it's better than if she said that she liked a song because it reminded her of "when you used to be able to get an erection"Niveous wrote:DRC: My ego took a bit of a hit this weekend. QOTD: I have no problem with pot. The only reason it's illegal, stems from a corporate conspiracy and greed. Then after prohibition, it served the law enforcement community very well. Let's face it, there isn't enough "actual" crime to justify our vast law enforcement and legal system, so they need to create crimes and so many laws that you are committing a crime from the moment your eyes open in the morning. An incredible waste of money.

I used to like it and still think it smells real nice. But I haven't done it in a long time. It's wild how much crap Clinton got for the never inhaled remark (well, yeah, typical self-defeating idiotic statement from him), and now our president not only was a pot head but did a good deal of coke, and I really didn't hear anything about that during the campaign. Or did I miss all the fuss?

Hillary tried to make a big deal out of it back in the summer of 2007, but it backfired on her. The topic was basically off-limits from that point on. A total political masterstroke from the Obama campaign.roymond wrote:... I really didn't hear anything about that during the campaign. Or did I miss all the fuss?

qotd: Totally fine with it, and it's ridiculous for weed to be illegal even though tobacco and alcohol are more harmful to the body. However, there's a certain stigma around using it that I'm not totally down with, since I consider myself to be a pretty intelligent guy - and a lot of people assume that anyone who does weed is a retard.

Re: 4/20/09
That's true, Andrew. The guy that moderates my MJ sections is one of those very smart guys that Unjhunter hates. He's always campaigning for MJ legalization, etc etc. He lives in Colorado, go figure, lol. He has a website that travels around Colorado taking videos of MJ growers growing setups, the types of weed they specialize in, stuff like that. It's actually pretty damn interesting. He promotes the use of vaporizers for smoking weed. I never really knew what they were until I watched his vids. The weed never burns, just vaporizes. Who'd of ever thought that getting stoned would go high tech?

Yeah man, those are sweet. I'm pretty sure that gives you the straight goods without the carcinogens, am I right? I used a volcano once, and that's pretty sweet, but you can vapo out of a light bulb too. Don't ask me how to set it up, but it's pretty sweet.Billy's Little Trip wrote:He promotes the use of vaporizers for smoking weed. I never really knew what they were until I watched his vids. Check him out, he cracks me up. I've known him a long time and he is a MJ geek in a good way. As I said, he's a friend. Keep in mind, he has a degree is in molecular science, lol. Also, notice that he doesn't whore his product, which is the Silver Surfer, which is a whip type vaporizer. He tells people to do their research and find what's right for them. Brainy stoners are my favorite for sure. But my marketing mind wants his vapes to have marked settings that the knob clicks to! Damn, a scientist that has a knob with random "free for all" settings pisses me off, lol. I guess it's a young mans game. 8) Vid here >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKjvlwuG ... r_embeddedReïst wrote:Yeah man, those are sweet. Sweet, I checked out a few of his vids - he seems like a pretty intelligent guy, which is nice to see. The silver surfer also looks like a great choice, but considering I still live with my parents ... probably not.Billy's Little Trip wrote:Check him out, he cracks me up.
