QOTD: My first motorcycle when I was 11. A brand new Honda XR75. I couldn't believe it was actually mine. I've been hooked ever since.
My second favorite was my Black Les Paul from my wife when I was 22. The very first brand new guitar I ever got. All others prior were either damaged or pawn shop basket cases that I had to nurse back to health.
Happy Erf day!!

Re: April 22, 2009
QOTD: When I turned 13 I got a Yamaha PSR-400, which got me on the path of making music which didn't always involve real instruments. In college I kind of outgrew it (and its built-in amp got really flaky anyway) and upgraded to a Korg 01/W, and the PSR just sat around collecting dust at my parents' house.
In grad school I was visiting home over some break and my brother had dragged it out and we were messing around with it, and that became my "Been To China." I think that's the last time I really used it for anything.
When I graduated from grad school and needed to cull a bunch of possessions before moving, I gave it to the dude my "Paper Cuts" was about. He was amazed by how futuristic it was. (He was a bit of a technological recluse.)

I just wanted to document something here.
For background, I now work at this indie pizza place downtown. It's right next to a live music venue.
Just for the record, last night, I almost hit Lou Barlow with my car.
