Complain about your schedule. Apparently people like that sort of thing.

Fully-weighted keys, 88 of 'em, real-sounding. That would be nice. If there's extra voices (maybe a decent Rhodes imitation or organ voice), that would be nice too.

Within walking distance of my new apartment is a Guitar Center, and a few more blocks south is a nice locally-owned piano shop. I might check them out tomorrow.

It came in yesterday while I was at work.

The Roland P101. Good lord I love this thing.

Question of the Day: What was your most recent musical purchase that you got really excited over?

QoTD: Picks for the bass, strings for the acoustics, and brushes to replace the ones my drummer broke (no, really, it is possible). And a couple of XLR cables.

I'm kinda simple that way.

How do you break brushes?

I wish I knew. Gave him the brushes so we could hear ourselves (this was pre-PA in the studio), and the next thing I know, there's the individual wires flying everywhere, blast radius of at least ten feet.

Your drummer has a blast radius. Are you in Spinal Tap?

He's like Animal (Muppet Show), but more enthusiastic/spastic. Getting hit with flying sticks (or the shards of flying sticks, pieces of the drumset, &c.) is a regular occurrence.

Spinal Tap without the travelling herpes sore, yeah.

drc: Last night I saw Star Trek. It was just okay, at best. I wrote more about it over yonder.

qotd: That's a tough call. Either my crappy ukulele (as heard in Night Terrors) or my glockenspiel (not yet used in a recording since I'm lame and keep using a softsynth instead). That and I was pretty excited by the discovery of an amazing music shop near my home but I haven't gotten around to going yet because I'm afraid what it will do to my bank account and already-cluttered office/studio room.

qotd: like Rabid: I kinda get excited over every little thing, but the last item excitable enough to incite 3 drops was the Roland SH-201
Irwin: I'd sell my soul to jesus to program drums like signboy.
