Complain about your schedule. Apparently people like that sort of thing.

1...2... skip a few... 25th May 2009

Post by Eric Y. »

Hey everyone. Happy Memorial Day ... for those who live in the U.S. ... and have served in the armed forces ... and have died. So, theoretically that would rule out anyone reading this.
Happy day-off-work-grilling-food-and-drinking-beer day to everyone else in the U.S., and, er, happy Monday to the rest of you.

Pretty quiet today, so I'm curious:

QotD - do you do most of your internet slacking-off while at work, and barely touch the computer at home? That's about accurate for me. I mean, I'm being paid to sit in front of a computer anyway, why do it for free other times? What are your surfing habits like?

Come on man, with a bit of research you would realise you're not the only country that has the last monday in may as a public holiday. That said, I did nothing I wouldn't have done on a Sunday.

Today I mostly cleaned up my studio a bit. It was quite cluttered. Now it's only somewhat cluttered.

See, this is the problem with todays youth. :P

My office is in my home, so pretty much anytime I'm in my office doing bids, making/answering calls, etc, I'm on line. I pretty much hang at 3 site. Song Fight, Mustang Forums and Cluster Fudge. From there I'll click links that members post in the threads, leading me to random youtube vids, porn, or some important news story of the day. I love internet forums like this place. My mind needs to stay stimulated, and random conversations, vids, etc keep me occupied.

qotd: It depends on how busy I am at work. Sometimes I'll go all day at work without even thinking about touching my RSS reader.

I spent much of the weekend in CT on the couch with my leg on ice. Read a lot (NYTimes and The Audacity of Hope). Ate too much. Dipped my legs in the pool, but it's still pretty cold. Today was about the best weather imaginable, although the thunderstorms and hail last night was amazing.

QotD: Too much computer all day long. I can't surf much at work, but some research I have to do overlaps a good deal with things I want to check out anyway. Since the iPhone, there's much less "PC" at home, as I can monitor email, Facebook and SF very easily. I almost said "transparently" but it's certainly not the same as not touching the internets, and I can use more down time than I allow. Addicted? I can quit anytime, really...

I am not on the computer much at home, less so at work where SF! is blocked. (!) But I check e-mail, Songfight!, peek at a couple of music related sites I am barely interested in, and usually turn it off. Unless looking for a bit of info, an auction bid, ordering a whatever. That's about it, really. Snooze-fest, I know.

Here.

My computer is pretty much online al day at both home at work, however, since I am usually engaged in the activity of molding the minds of tomorrow's leaders, I tend to just get to check in between classes and at lunch for this kind of stuff.

I'm on the computer at all and odd hours, especially when I cannot sleep.

Did someone say there's porn on the internets? What?! When did that happen?
