Post by fluffy »

One of those workdays which started out slow but ended fast.

Lately I've been realizing just how much money I spend by going out to lunch every day. I'm trying to pack a lunch to bring to work 2-3 times a week, since that's a good $25/week right there. It really adds up over time.

qotd: Do you eat out a lot? How much do you spend a week on your lunch?

Crap fluffy, I spend $25 a day, and I'm unemployed. OK. So Marvin picks up every other check, so maybe it's half that.

Yeah, there were a few weeks last month when I ate out every single day. I knew how much it was costing me, and it's not like the food options near my work are even that great (there's Whataburger, Chipotle, Sonic, and Subway), but I kept forgetting to pack a lunch. When I think of what I could be doing with that money now that I'm more seriously considering leaving my bank job...

Oh well. I might, in fact, have the next job lined up. I may be able to quit as early as this week. That would be nice.

No, I rarely eat out. It's a fun treat when I do, and I get all "Gee! Eatin' out's fun! I should do it more often". Until I think about the money and how the cost of one meal could supply me with nearly a weeks food. Lame, but frugal. And it keeps me lean. (insert C. Ray's "Hello ladies" here which, sigh, never works for me)

No, I usually pack lunch. Although if I have to eat dinner at work I'll buy lunch and pack dinner.

I don't do resturants but Sonic good once in a while. Although it's like the most expensive fast food in town.

Whenever I've had a long day at work I buy a value menu pick at Mcdonalds. It's only a dollar, and it's not enough food to make me fat. :)

QotD: Every day... Breakfast, which consists of a coffee and sometimes a bagel w/ cream cheese. Lunch, which is either Pizza, Sub, Hard roll or McD's. I don't eat dinner... which will change once I get my new apartment, I'll eat much better & drink less. :) Although I might end up eating out more, since the apartment is in the center of town, and lots of restaurants will be in walking range just outside my door.
