Bon Iver's Blood Bank EP I like very much
"Stillness is the move" and "No Intention" from the new Dirty Projectors album are McWicked
Sagarmatha came in't post t'other day. Can't go wrong with The Appleseed Cast but they're on a downward trajectory
A friend introduced me to the Alberta Cross recently, they've got some good songs, "Low Man" in particular.

Being the huge Kevin McMahon fan that I am, it was a no brainer to order the 6 cd set from the site... even tho I already own 2 of the CDs in the set, they are reissued in foldout cardboard sleeves. Fast shipping too. Very happy.

Re: What are you listening to right now?
i recently discovered Streetlight Manifesto, a ska punk band.
Now I'd be the first to admit that ska punk usually consists of immature idiots playing immature songs, (but I do love it so), but Manifesto come across as a very musically mature ska punk band, their songs are well thought out and written and have an average length of around 5 minutes without sounding empty or repetitive.
They have 2 full length albums, and in the last week or so I must've listened to each of them 6 times at least...

Haha "You're so Lucky Pierre"! Fantastic! I think the first EP they released was in 1978(?) I wonder if it was the same slang back then?
"After a hard day in the oil industry, the Cat often likes to relax on the golf course with his partner. However, he does not get outraged when another man asks to join his twosome, because he is used to being the Lucky Pierre."

Re: What are you listening to right now?
I don't know exactly how I classify today, but I am making it a very special day at my job. I'm playing songs that some are a little cheesy. The more interesting part is the eyebrows that they are raising. It's a fun experiment. If you have a song suggestion, please send it my way. (If you have the mp3, it's even better. You can send it to niveous dot devilchild at gmail dot com.)
Here's what's been played so far:
"Just Another Day" by Jon Secada
"Informer" by Snow
"I Can't Wait" by Nu Shooz
"The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis & the News
"Total Eclispe of the Heart" by Hurra Torpedo
"Cruel Summer" by Bananarama
"Opportunities" by Pet Shop Boys
"Sera Sera (Hips Don't Lie)" by Shakira

Re: What are you listening to right now?
This musical experiment has been amusing. None of my usual hard rock or mashups today.
Today has included P. Diddy, Biz Markie, Katy Perry, Corey Hart, The Vapos, Madonna ("Lucky Star"), Jennifer Love Hewitt, Danny Wilson (not the Beach Boy), Kiss ("God Gave Rock & Roll To You"), Bell Biv Devoe, Duran Duran, Harry Belafonte, The Go-Go's and Janet Jackson ("Rhythm Nation").
I need more one hit wonders and oddities.
