My attempt at a 70's rock ballad. (with a focus on the story development)
Here's the lyrics;

through the charlie line
and when the war was over

I'd often think about him
visions fresh
from in my safety zone
The years rolled on

a letter came

in the middle of central park
the way they dress and talk
well it seems like some sort of art
well i've never been an artist myself
so i just leave them be
i figure if there's a girl out there
she might talk to me
if they meet so easily
why is there no voice inside of me
all i know

well my mom and my dad knew eachother
when they used to go to highschool

but my eyes are the only two
it's like watching a movie you've seen before

He heard about her from his best friend Jack
How she cheated on her boyfriend and never looked back
So he decided then and there she was a floosie and a nutter
And would probably spend her Saturday nights puking in the gutter
She heard about him from her older brother Russ
How he flirted with any old blond with a Pamela sized bust
She decided on the spot that he had a dog’s taste
And would probably only hook up if a young girl’s drink was laced
The weekend is approaching fast
With a host of friends in a drama cast
What will happen when they all meet?
