Now that's a totally different story. Last summer I was at a wedding -- first one I was at since my own -- and wanted to make up for how stressed out I had felt and how unable to totally let loose, maybe I overcompensated a bit, but I happened to be at a table within shouting distance of the bar, and lost count of the Yukon-Jack-n-Cokes... but more than half of one of those big bottles (I think they're the 1-3/4 liters) was gone, and I didn't see anybody else having any.

Oh man. I should have posted here last night as well. I wasn't as drunk as I got on Thursday, but I was buzzin' when we got back home. That brewery a couple blocks from the Empyrean is great; they have a wonderful Scottish Ale.

Yeah, we went there for dinner with Glenn, Rachel, and JB. The beer was good. The salad was good. The fish and chips not so much. But the salmon that a bunch of people got looked wonderful.

question: if I haven't had anything to drink for the last 30 mins, how am I getting drunker? this doesn't really add up to me. I'm going to grab some water. and watch youtube.

Depends on how strong the last drink was, how fast you drank it, etc. Alcohol hits the bloodstream on a time delay, so if after you drink, you'll continue to get drunker over the next half hour or so before you start to sober up. Drinker harder alcohol and/or drinking quickly will heighten the effect. Wooo drunk on a Sunday! Go Resit!
