Cool, I can write something festive for the holidays and about the Donner party all in one song. Nothing says Christmas like a heart warming story about cannibalism.

I call dibs on lyrics about biting and/or being bitten by a girl named Frost. (No, not in a vampire kind of way. Sorry Twilight fans)

I haven't written a song yet, but I've got a beat, a hook line...and a sample of Glenn Beck.

Re: Forecasting Measurable Participation (prefight)
Got a beat and a concept, and with my new USB condenser mic I may actually have a noteworthy entry for once
Edit: Almost done with the recording, just gotta record a good ten seconds of screaming, and then mix the tracks and I'm in

Re: Forecasting Measurable Participation (prefight)
Just for the record, five years ago this week we tied with Pipe Fist for the Les Anchois fight.
'H' comes before 'P,' of course, but we can't take credit for that.

I am tentatively in, depending on whether I can gather up some lyrics pertaining to something I've never experienced living in Texas. Interesting...

Can I use some machine guns this time?

Depends who you're going to use them onCan I use some machine guns this time?

I'm all mixed down and mastered up, with a song featuring:
* Impossibly fast rapping
* Tape hiss
* Turntablism
* Vinyl crackle and amplifier hum
* A vocoder from 1983
* Monty Python's Flying Circus

I'm in, very early, as I now have to go away for a week without internet access.
Apologies for the resulting roughness.

Re: Forecasting Measurable Participation (prefight)
Nevermind whatever I said I was going to do earlier. I'm doing a Carter Family kind of thing.
EDIT: my song is explicitly religious, as you can see from the lyrics. While I don't (anymore) actually hold all the beliefs expressed in the lyrics, rest assured I am not mocking them, I consider them appropriate for the genre. Old time religion for an old time song.

Re: Forecasting Measurable Participation (prefight)
With apologies to Kapitano, I'm in. Also of note: While it may not be as impressive a run as the Weakest Suit's, I've met my goal of entering every fight this year. Got one lined up for pre-31st? Bring it, baby!
Bringin' the stink since 2006.

Re: Forecasting Measurable Participation (prefight)
in with my 100th song submitted to this site (including alter-egos and nur ein entries).
don't expect much, though. i only had a bit of time to pull something together this week.
the song is inspired by the plot of the librivox book i'm listening to now to and from work.
merry christmas, everyone.

Hmm, it looks like I just hit 100, myself, by entering the current fight. Sweet.
