Frostbite
RE:FLEKT
Feat. Sinima
Ya know I’m so cool you got frostbite just from looking at me
These bitches don’t know nothing ‘bout what RE:FLEKT brings
To the table, like Clark Gable was the king of the screen
When I sing all the bitches in the house wanna scream
In my dreams then I wake up from the spot where I sleep
In a bush on the side of the street, dirt and leaves
And instead of a wallet with some money for bread
There’s a joint in my pocket to help me to forget
See I’ve been to the bottom and I’ve looked at the top
And the higher I climbed, the farther I dropped
When it’s gone and I’m remembering the taste of champagne
There’s the pain of having lost the one thing that I gained
In my life, after every last struggle and fight
For the right to the music that was just in my mind
All the time I invested and just threw it away
For the high I attained and am forever doomed to chase
While on the outside I am warm from the Florida sun
On the inside I got frostbite from how cold the world was
To me, and every last green leaf I crushed
And chopped up and stuffed inside a hollowed out blunt
My only love for years has been the artificial cheer
That I only attained after all the smoke cleared
From my lungs, and when that turned out to not be enough
I had pills that would make the very universe drop down
An octave or two, though in my mind I always knew
That my ties to the world were becoming unglued
The gap grew and grew until I’m floating away
Up in space and the cold is a welcoming embrace
Oh, death, I no longer fear you at all
I don’t have the mental strength to even tremble, so calm
I await for all of my perceptions to fade
Into black as the blood ceases to flow to my brain

Re: Frostbite
On a cold and windy night upon a dreary street
there stood a little girl with no shoes on her feet
"dear sir, dear madam, spare a dime, so that I may eat"
but everybody passed her by, standing on the street
"my mother and my father died and I am all alone
cast upon the streets with nowhere to call my home
won't you take me somewhere warm so that I may rest?
not upon this street so cold you see your very breath"
then she shivered one more time, a stranger she did see.
he said, "my name is Jesus, good child come with me
I'll take you to a golden house of eternal light
won't you leave this street behind, leave this awful night"
She died, she died of frostbite, was what the paper said.
She did, she died of frostbite, is what we tell ourselves.
We whose greed has killed her are guilty of this loss,
as surely as it was our sins put Jesus on the cross.

Frostbite - Paco del Stinko
I don't know why you hate me
I don't know why you do
I can't be seen with you baby
And you know it is true
You give me frostbite
You were the one to save me
You took away my blues
You used to let me drive you crazy
And I know you couldn't choose
I gave you frostbite
I nipped at your ear - I nipped at your toes
And don't forget my dear - I nipped at your nose
But then I started in - on your soul
I broke you in - and wore you out
I didn't listen when you begged for mercy
I didn't hear you shout
Now I know why you hate me
Now I know why you do
You can't believe in me baby
And I know this is true
You give me frostbite
I gave you frostbite
You give me frostbite
I don't know why you hate me
I don't know why you do
I can't be seen with you baby
And you know it is true
You give me frostbite

You give me frostbite
Bringin' the stink since 2006.

Re: Frostbite
Frostbite
Frostbite’s got my mind set true, it hurts so good to be with you.
Frostbite takes me by surprise, my unseen feelings I can’t deny.
Frostbite’s got me in its sight, exposed, alone, a sacrifice.
Frostbite leaves me less of a man, against that thought I cannot stand.
Frostbite’s got me, it has got me by my soul.
Frostbite’s got me in its grasp, a bitter cold.
He stands alone on a hill, against the buffeting winds,
Deserted by his only foe, mankind awaits its final blow.
He scans across the mountain range, beyond the eye can see,
Where distant battles storm and rage, boundaries fall and others are free.

Re: Frostbite
Garden wall, if you let me go -
If you knew what was mine past your gate and snow,
You'd crumble on down
Frozen in, but they need to know
Keeping everything out now except the cold
There they go
Bundle up warm tonight, they're not coming back tomorrow
Frostbite will hold those wintry sun dry smiles
Watching them cross outside, all numb and looking back to follow
Checking if I had crossed their tracks
Kingdom's gone, just this, set alone
I got caught and took shelter here long ago
They figured me out
Can't move much, legs all wrapped around,
Broke and blistered, frost rubbed, I'll be found
Hoping they're here, too
Bundle up warm tonight, they're not coming back tomorrow
Frostbite will hold those wintry sun dry smiles
Watching them cross outside, all numb and looking back to follow
Checking if I had crossed their tracks

Frostbite by Gizmo Blacksmith
How can you love me
How can you care
When I don't even notice
That you're even there
Christmas is coming
There's a chill in the air
There's a snowball's chance in hell
I'll pay attention to your prayer
Oh yeah-r
You want to hold me close
Make love 'till morning's light
I'll mark it on the list
After the devil gets frostbite
We'll never really know
Until the day we are dead
If he wears a wool cap
On his pointed horn head
Booties on his hoofs
Shiver blanket instead
Of laughing at his victims
Rides around on a sled
Oh yeah-d
Don't want to tell you never
Never know, I might
But it's likely I won't love you
'Les the devil gets frostbite
It's not that I'd hate you
It's just that I can't see
How you'd be anything
But a she-devil to me
If I had to I'd be
Alone the rest of my life
'Til hell freezes over
And the devil gets frostbite
Better get him a coat
Maybe some nice winter boots
Y'know gloves, a scarf, maybe one of those
Canadian type of floppy eared hats
You know what I'm talking about?
You never really know if he'll need it
Can't be too careful now
Take your time shopping
Enjoy your Christmas shopping this year
Don't you worry about me
I'll be alright
I'll be alright
Alright?
How can you love me
How can you care
When I don't even notice
That you're even there
Christmas is coming
There's a chill in the air
There's a snowball's chance in hell

Frostbite
With your portmanteau (I hate you, I hate you)
And your Sunday clothes (I hate you, I hate you)
And your dogs in tow (I hate you, I hate you)
And your stupid nose (I hate you, I hate you)
With your golden hair (I hate you, I hate you)
And your blue-eyed stare (I hate you, I hate you)
Across the little square (I hate you, I hate you)
You killed my friend in there (I hate you, I hate you)
Harden your heart with some frostbite

Crush Alpha
They used to say
If you kneel and pray
He might pass you by.
He might not come for you
His burning love imbue
But it was a lie.
They used to tell me
I should wait and see
Whole world in his hand.
World crushed, in his hand.

Re: Frostbite
Frostbite, as interpreted by The Dangereus
(Lyrics for Neil's part stolen shamelessly from the hellraisers at McMurdo Station)
Dan:
Frostbite can afflict exposed skin in as little as five minutes.
(Blood disappears from an already-pale face
And little crystals in the wind savagely tear my cheek
A constant battle against frostbite and scurvy
Oh, everything is better than life in the distant South.)
Neil:
Many of the early explorers who came to Antarctica died miserably of starvation while freezing to death.
Dan:
Frostbite can afflict exposed skin in as little as five minutes.
Frost white, circulation closed in, but alive, then it's
seared red, falling off after turning to violet and black.
The near-dead make it back to the shelter, where violence attacks.
Mere lead can't protect you when you run out; we fight with an axe,
send seals to slaughter, run out, kill who's not watching their backs.
Stop in your tracks! You're the only food for miles on these icy plains.
We'll drain your brains, insanely spicy
from the hallucinations as you freeze.
We'll bruise your face and use your leg-bones for smoking trees,
hoping these'll help hide the hurting when we
brace against a breeze so cold it's burning in me.
Enough of murdering, we take time to relax,
find our way back to the base by what's left of our tracks,
spark the last gram with a flint and a bit of blubber,
try to cover our hands and face or else the skin'll suffer.
Neil (simultaneously):
This unique frozen heritage is visible just across the bay from McMurdo Station at historic Discovery Hut, built by Robert Scott in 1902. In that noble wooden hut, several men once spent four months, clothes awash with gore from their endless seal slaughtering, their faces black from the soot of their barely flickering blubber stoves, their faces and fingers blistered and pocked from slogging a thousand miles with a ripped tent and a salvaged stove, their spongy gums still bleeding from the scurvy incurred on their futile sledding journey to lay depots of food for Ernest Shackleton's Trans-Antarctic expedition that would never arrive because Shackleton's boat was crushed in the ice, he and his men fleeing the continent for their lives, amputating limbs as necessary.
Dan:
Frostbite can afflict exposed skin in as little as five minutes.
Neil:
At Orientations or All-Hands Meetings or at other public meetings, the managers, presidents, and other public officials seldom appear anything but enthusiastic, friendly, and supportive. They may urge you to stop by their office, call them, page them, email them or contact them via telekinesis. After this invitation, they usually ask if anyone has any questions. They will look around for a second, say "No questions?", look around again, say "Okay, then," and pass the microphone to the next speaker, or otherwise adjourn the meeting. Invariably, the question arises: what if I ask a question? There is no clear answer to this question, but there are two prominent camps:
The first believes that asking a question will bring the asker grief and trouble. Because this might be true, and it is more difficult to clear one's name than sully it...
